i personally like a raise here i think you have much more fold equity in the hand then others are saying and even if you have to get it in you generally arent in that bad of shape

i like a call pre i think the best aspect to this play is it makes the co so much more likely to repot with hands we crush- leading the button to try and iso… and then the hand becomes very easy to play… not saying 4 betting is bad but i think it has slightly less expectation and is way higher variance

what a fantastic video… i was surprised and very interested to hear the thinking behind the Qs/AdAsJs/3c set … really great stuff.

like the way you played it and the turn bet… not sure exactly what you are asking about the river… i think river value bet is to thin and you already stated that you dont expect him to be bluffing. so check/fold right?

hey!
these 2 hands happened as a game was winding down and about to break. the game was a 2/5 game with a $10 kill every hand with whomever won the last hand. villain in question is a regular at this game and known as one of the more action players. he is definitely competent but starts to spew and play quite aggro when he is stuck or just feeling gambly, which he is right now. that being said he isn't going to completely dust $. i am new to the cardroom and he views me as competent but somewhat scared money due to the fact that i am propping much smaller games. the other player is an older rec player who is quite fishy and has a hard time folding. I have around $800 to start each hand and the other guys are almost twice as deep.
1st hand:
prefop: villain straddles the button to $20, older guy calls, as do i with KdJc10s5d… villain makes it $60, older guy folds and i call (?)
flop: 7d7h2d i check, he makes it $75
what's your guys plan moving forward in this hand?
2nd hand:
preflop- we switched to 5/10 blinds, older guy folds button, i make it $30 with QdQc9d10d, villain makes it $50 and i call (?)
flop: 9s9cJs i check and he checks back
turn: 6d i bet $75 and he calls
river: 10c whats your river plan?
this is my first post on this site and i would really appreciate some feedback. thanks so much
i play in games like this and have the same basic strategy as you
