Hey guys , so Portuguese ppl can not play online poker until october probably , due to legislation stuff going on.
I was taking shots at 25plo again, after needing to cash out my roll some months ago for irl stuff.
Played my first time live 2 days ago , small 35euros PLO tourny (70 entries), and made FT , 8th for 66euros , it was cool for my 1st time but honestly the field was horrible , some guys didnt even knew the rules .
I really want to play the cash tho , problem is that the lowest limit is 1/2 with minimum buy in being 80euros . I obviously dont have the roll for it. I would say that its soft compared to what we are used online, played with a guy in this tournsment that made a lot of mistakes pre and pos, and when i busted he was playing cash.
I am thinking of going with a 1k or 1,5k roll and buy in for 50bbs so 10/15 buy ins (half buy in) for 1/2 , and just yolo it.
Any1 has some experience with live cash , tips etc ?

2plo and 5plo regular tables are really soft , I would say that at some points of the day there are like 4-5 spots on a 6max table and lot of guys just playing everything from tablets and smartphones, 10plo is soft as well but the fish ratio starts to decrease a little bit but still really good , dont know about 25plo . Just play a solid game and don't really try to make moves and bluff good spots with blockers etc against constant calling stations because they will just call with bottom 2 pair etc ... play a solid and value game

So I'm reading donkr guide on plo and came across this :
Hand : CO opens we are BU with Ts8d7c6s. CO is loose and we choose to light 3bet but get 4betted, so most of the times we can assume we are playing against aces ? we call.
The pot is $7.65 on the flop with $6.25 stacks remaining. When CO pushes the rest of his stack in on the flop, we're getting pot-odds (7.65 + 6.25) : 6.25 =2.22 : 1. So we need 1/(2.22 + 1) =0.31 =31% equity to have a profitable call.
From the graph above we see that we will have minimum 31% equity on more than 60% of all flops. So we will find enough equity to call (and get a return on our preflop investment) more often than we fold. This presupposes that we are able to estimate outs and equity quickly and accurately on the flop. But this is an easy thing to learn.
FLOP : Ks64dh , and CO pushes all in . So we have:
- Par + 3 kickers (2 + 6 =8 outs)
- Gutshot (4 outs)
- Backdoor flush (1 out)
This gives us a total of 13 outs against AAxx. This corresponds to 3 x 13 + 9 =48% equity on the flop (Remember: We use the 4x-rule with 0-9 outs, and the 3x + 9-rule with 10 or more outs). pokertools tells us our actual equity is 47%, so our estimate was pretty good.
Sorry for the long post but my question is , how do you guys figure this out quickly and easy enough in spots like this one to know if it's a call or fold, when 4-6+ tabling ?

Let's assume a person is new to plo , knows the rules only and all the basic stuff. How much time and effort do you guys think it would take him to get to 100plo , perharps 200plo ? Starting at 5plo

Hey guys , is it worth trying to put decent volume playing 10plo and get some rakeback or focus on less tables, really work and focus on my game and move up from there . Also can you guys give me some info about zoom vs norm 6 tab . I am asking this as someone who wants to move up and is kinda new to plo , but has some inputs on the game. kinda worried about the rake there

Hello , do you guys think it's possible to get to mid stakes and be a solid winning player playing both PLO and NL ? I know it's probably better to focus on one only but I am kind of lost , I've played both 5-10plo / NL last 2 months and ran my bankroll from 200 to 510$ I am almost clearing my 50 $ bonus as well , all this was done without Hud or anyhting. I want and probably will buy a Hud in the next weeks and really want to take poker more seriously and try to make it as a side income in terms of $ and later try to get higher. Now I enjoy playing both PLO and NL and ofc I have to work a lot if I want to get to higher limits like any1 else.
How do you guys see the NL / PLO highstakes action in a few years from now ?
