Hmm, even if he check/calls KQ/AQ/AJs only 50% of the time on the flop and then bluff shoves on the river only 50% of the time he has > 5 combos in his range. Furthermore OTF when villain check/calls he is heads-up and not MW anymore. This further increases the probability of him c/c overcards there, imo.

If you shove turn on K/Q/J of spades, you will almost never get called by worse hands.
I would go for a c/f on these turns, especially with the SPR (if you call a 50% PS bet turn, you are basically committed). If it goes c/c, I'd probably jam the river.

Hand History | simonwins posted in NLHE: QQ, 180BB deep, weird river spot
Blinds: $0.10/$0.20 (6 Players) BB: $21.06
UTG: $36.14
MP: $86.98 (Hero)
CO: $20.00
BN: $12.50
SB: $23.78
Villain is a 23/18/6 player (2k+ hands). His flop cbet/turn 2nd barrel are quite high with 65% and 70%. Besides that, I don't have any reads.
Preflop ($0.30) Hero is MP with Q Q
UTG raises to $0.60, Hero calls $0.60, CO folds, BN calls $0.60, 2 folds
I just called preflop to induce a squeeze from the loose shortstacked BTN.
Flop ($2.10) 5 8 3
UTG bets $1.60, Hero calls $1.60, BN folds
Do you think raising the flop is better?

Turn ($5.30) 5 8 3 J
UTG bets $3.60, Hero raises to $7.77, UTG calls $4.17
I raised to get value from AJ, the Ace of spades/X, the King of spades/X, worse PP's, straight draws like 76, T9. My plan is to bet safe rivers or otherwise check behind . I don't think he will bluff shove/semi-bluff shove here very often.
River ($20.84) 5 8 3 J 4
UTG bets $11.60
Now that donk polarizes his range to the Ace of spades/X or bluffs. We only need to be good here around 25% of the time, but are we ever good here? I mean our HR after the turn raise is AJ,JJ, Overpairs,Flushes,Ace of spades,X. So I think he is valuebetting here and almost never bluffs?

One of the worst river card for me. Now all the draws are there, except for 3 QJs and 3 KJs. I can only beat some random Ax's and JJ/QQ. Easy check/fold?

I'd bet/fold turn and check behind most rivers.

As played I'd consider calling here (I dont think he has many pairs in his range.
AA he likely just ships preflop, KK even more likely. He might have QQ, but if he plays QQ like that, he might also shove TT).
I feel like his potsize shove river polarizes his range to either fh's (33,55,66,77 = 10 combos) or air (AQ,KQ, etc.) which are a lot of combos.

If you go for the c/r, you should shove over his 4bet because most turn/river cards are bad for you.

Depends on a lot of different things such as:
-Villain (nitty? spewy?)
-Position/preflop action: did he call your 3bet on the Button? Or from UTG?
-Board texture
etc. etc.

V only min cbets the flop - I was assuming he got PPs/Air which he would fold to a raise of this size (55-60% potsize, like a standard flop bet). After he min4bet me, I called because of my flushouts ;)

SB bets $0.20, Hero raises to $4.40, SB raises to $8.60, Hero calls $4.20
Weird min cbet. I think his HR is likely to be lower PP's like TT-KK or complete air which he 4bet preflop, even though he seems rather tight with 21/19? Therefore, I raise him to make him fold his air/lower PP's as I can easily have AQ etc. What do you guys think?
When he min3bets my flop, I think he might slowplay AA, JJ with this weird line. But then, AA/JJ are very few combos and he might have complete air?
Turn ($24.60) 5 A J 3
SB checks, Hero checks
Villains check even further polarizes his HR towards nuts/air? What do you think?
Is checking or shoving better here? I mean we have some equity vs. AA/JJ and there still might be air in his HR?
River ($24.60) 5 A J 3 2
SB checks, Hero bets $17.22
Give up river? Better shove Turn with equity next time? What's your line?

Comment | simonwins commented on spew or cooler?

C/r Flop would be fine as well...Flop is perfect for a cbet and V will fold often and if he calls, our equity is good.
As played: c/r Turn, shove river is the most +EV here - there are plenty of set/AA/Kx type of hands to get value from. Also there are some worse flushes, which could pay you off (56dd,67dd). Sometimes you might shove into a better flush, but that's just a cooler then.
