Thank you for your answer.

The problem I have with 3betting is that at these stakes most people will call a 3bet with just about anything decent. Even a 23o for example. And A9o doesn't do well postflop since it can't make a straight or flush. If you get an Ace, you still have to fold to multiple postflop betting/raising since he could have A10-AK. If you get a 9, villain can have better pair. The problem with 2 Ace is the same as 1 Ace, villain can have A10-AK. The only time when you can start calling or re-raising multiple postflop betting/raising is with two 9 on board, and even then you have to watch out for flush, straight and better set.

Respectfully, I feel like 3betting A9o is too loose since it does so poorly postflop. I understand that with 5 players the blinds come alot. However, I just don't feel safe 3betting something like A9o unless I have appropriate sample size and large fold to 3bet (60% or higher) since it would be terrible if I get called.

Postflop, correct me if I am wrong, I feel that because villain almost certainly missed the flop and therefore I shouldn't be giving him a free card. If I check, and he bets, I have to fold. If he check back, he get free card. That's why I donk bet, to at least for free not give him free card.

$0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players

BB: $5 (100 bb)
MP: $5 (100 bb)
CO: $7.80 (156 bb)
BTN: $5 (100 bb)
Hero (SB): $6.16 (123.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9s Ah
2 folds, BTN raises to $0.12, Hero calls $0.10, BB folds

Flop: ($0.29) 4d 2s 4s (2 players)
Hero bets $0.14, BTN raises to $0.38, Hero calls $0.24

Turn: ($1.05) Td (2 players)
BTN bets $0.70 Hero folds

V is VPIP/VPR 39/33 out of 19 hands. Postflop aggression of 100 percent. Flop donk bet and raise IP of 100 percent. I don't have any stats on his Flop Cbet or turn play. While small sample size, I feel like the number are way too high and that this guy is probably a loose aggressive player focused on making people fold with aggressive bets postflop.

On the flop, I donk bet because I feel like his range is so wide because of his stats and the fact that he is button, that he is not hitting this flop most of the time. Also I have a nine of spades, which has a blocker effect for draws? When he calls, I feel like he is calling with spade draws, pair of twos, not sure if he would call with overcards or a single or double diamond. I feel if I get a nine or an ace on the turn I would be ahead.

Looking back, maybe I shouldn't have donk bet since I didn't have anything and he has a high raise donk bet rate. Also if the turn is a spade or KQJ10 it would be awkward.

I called the raise because of his high raise rate and I guess I was just too hopeful for an Ace or Nine.

I didn't feel comfortable with re-raising since I didn't have anything. Even with his stats, people at this limit tend to play straightforward. Also if I re-raise, I would have to commit a large amount of money that I am not comfortable with since I didn't have anything.

I guess I should've folded since I didn't have anything and a flop cbet would've be awkard. Also I guess i would be check folding to anything beside an Ace. Even with a 9 I would be folding to a raise. Also the raise is larger than the pot.

My questions:

Should I have donk bet?
Is my read of his range correct or does he not have a calling range and just raise his whole range?
Should I have call the raise or re-raised or folded? I feel like the call is incorrect but not sure if I should've raised or folded.
Is the turn check fold correct? Flopzilla says I have around 50-60% equity against flush and straight draws.

Thanks in advance for any help!
