go for it and get it!
Regarding the health - keep working on improving it. The fact you were so sick just means u were doing something wrong, or it was your enviroment. SO read on it and apply healthy diet, exercise, meditation, etc... Its gonna pay off in the long run.

It's been updated recently to PokerWarmUp 2.0 and everything looks and works much better now.

To sustain the motivation, you need to have proper Goals. And one of the best Goals is to eliminate your leaks, both technical and mental, one by one. By working on your leaks during the game, you concentrate on correct play instead of things like "money lost", "he is stupid fish", etc... I personally use PokerWarmUp.com before every single session now. Studying all aspect of Poker is a long process, so better keep some track of it. And the Repetition is the key to Study!

At first I was doing quick overview of previous sessions in HM.
Then, after I read the book from Jared Tendler, I created an XML file in google docs.
And the last and final step was when I discovered how comfortable is pokerwarmup.com, I just put in all my variables there: my leaks and my tilt triggers and distracting factors, my mantra, etc and now every single session starts with this routine. Its like a pre-game check list, reminder from poker coach, and a session timer all together.
And it's free!

just as a warning, the alarm signal for Session Timer there is a bit frightening, hopefully they gonna change it soon or allow to make it custom

Hi All.

Just wondering how you guys do your warm up before start playing?

If we are to treat the game professionally (i.e. trying to make living out of it, put in considerable number of hours every week, study, etc...) we should start building professional habits.  Imagine a professional boxer (I play HU, so this example feels closer) who wakes up in the morning, gets a quick shower + cup of coffee and jumps out to the ring ready to crush.

Doesn't feel too real? Surely they do heaps of physical warm ups, talking to the coach and talking to themselves tuning in to the right body / mind set.

The general idea is to bring our skills and awareness of our leaks to the front of our mind, but the realization of this ideas can vary a lot player to player. So please share yours.

cheers.

I personally use http://pokerwarmup.com to prepare myself before almost every session and sometimes during the breaks (I play HU, upto nl1k). It's done very much like Jared Tendler recommends in his book, but have some additional kewl features like Brain games and Session Timer. It's still in Beta, but they promised to change to a nice design and add new features like cool down and Dumping the Downswing very soon.
