I think the underlying reason why river spot is really close is because of his tight 4bet stats and the sizing he uses otherwise the call is a no-brainer.
However, the bet sizings he uses postflop is just odd that being in villan's shoes, I struggle to put villain on KK-AA. So being the station that I am, I would probably call.

Looking at this hand, my first impression of that river bet is that he's v-betting thin..so I think the only way you're gonna get him to lay his hand down is if you overbet big, something like 2x pot
In general, I don't think you're not gonna be making money by bluff raising here at 20NL especially vs a fish

"the table wasn't that aggressive"
exactly, hence why the limp/reraising only works best if you have couple of aggressive players behind you..if your table is passive overall, limping accomplishes nothing since you entice players to limp behind you with marginal holdings and allow them to realize their equity..jacks is a hand thats vulnerable in a 4-5 way pot
by playing it this way, you're essentially set mining and not playing it for its hand strength value

Can anyone point me to a software (free or otherwise) which works with the poker client and help me take notes
I'm looking for a mod or stand alone software which basically does the same thing as pokerstars when it comes to note taking (the color coding the ample space to call your opponents as many profanities as you want)
Looking for something compatible with ipoker and 888.
I absolutely hate ipokers note taking facility it only gives you a set amount of space the color coding is horrible [i wish everyone could have an interface like stars :(]
Most of you here probably use hem or pt for note taking but i tend not to use hm software while playing and reserve hem specifically for post game analysis
Any help is appreciated :)

which isnt actually defined in medical field (maybe some form of adhd) where i cant play my a-game for more than 2hours max it doesnt matter if im winning 1000bb every hour i just get bored and play shit
so i have restricted myself to playing max 1-1.5 hr sessions maybe 2 or 3 times a day i dont know know why i do this to myself but i just do
i know it isnt tilt (ive kind of a decent self awareness of my mental game) because i stop my session immediately if i feel like im tilting (sometimes even after 15 mins) this is something different even if im winning mega and biggest fish on the table etc i just become very disinterested in playing
i havent actually gone to the doctor or anything but this is something ive picked up very recently a little history about myself (sorry for tl;dr) but i used to play tourneys and as you all know u dont even break the bubble in the first two hours and i did quite well in them i could sit for 5-6hrs just play proper poker but more recently ive exclusively turned to plo cash and i just get this shit feeling if i continue posting my bb after 2hrs it doesnt matter if im card racking or card dead winning losing etc i just feel shit and at this point i must add im not some 24 tabling phenom i play a modest 4 tables max more often 3 to take notes etc so since im only playing few tables i dont clock many hands my winrate tho is more than it should be for my skill level but my hourly/monthly profit figure is shit
typically i would like to be able to play my a-game for 4 hrs (once again i must stress im not tilting due to running bad) generally i end up dusting off one buyin towards the end of 2 hrs by making the most horrendous fps play ever seen by mankind which is when i know its time to quit
any help appreciated i hope half of what i wrote above made sense :p
ps: i happen to have a copy of jarred tendlers mental game book which i havent read even a page off but if you nice folks recommend it i will read it cover to cover today

Very first hand ive never played with him before but he open limped btn so he cant be all that good
pre and flop cbet i believe is pretty standard
the reasoning behind my turn bet was
1. since i already consider him bad if i check and he pots (which i believe bad players will do if they turn two pair etc) ill have to call a larger bet because im definitely not considering folding.
2. if he has like two pair but not top two he will probably call or some kind of wrap which hasnt improved i can charge him to draw
i believe the most standard line would be to check turn and call a bet or see a free river but i hope my thought process kinda makes sense
i was always planning on barrelling river regardless if i improved or not but when he pot raises turn im lost??
getting it ott cant be all that bad can it? if he his stack was a little shallower i wouldnt hesitate (or if i was running particularly good in the session i would get it in instantly but since it was the first hand of the session i wasnt sure if i was gonna run good or not :(

the original 3bet was against a standard reg who i have history against hence i 3bet
the fish just decided to cold flat from the sb which i wasnt expecting my initial play to 3bet was to see a flop hu ip against a reg whos tendencies i have got down pat and most likely win with a cbet or get him to fold pre to a 3bet which he does a lot when hes oop against me
May 17, 2014 | 10:46 a.m.
as to why i dont give him fd ive played with him heaps when he has a draw he will almost always c/c here plus timing tells etc led me to believe close to 0% flush draws in his range
but i do agree with your turn fold

i had been playing with villain for a while and i knew he was the biggest doozy was playing 80/4 or something
when he insta donk pots flop there are absolutely 0 flush draws in his range
plan on flatting flop was to rep if the flush card hits ott (i was planning on barreling turn regardless even if it was a blank hopefully either filling up river or hoping a flush card hits otr and shoving river)
im kinda lost ott when he decides to full pot though, what would you guys have done differently?
i dont wanna fold flop there ever, maybe fold turn?
is raise getting it on the flop knowing that he has top set at best and two pair at worst a better play if we dont plan on folding flop?
i know preflop 3bet might be a bit non-standard but me and co have history so i 3bet.
Call > Bluff shove as you have decent showdown value.
The other thing I would add is for low stakes, NL 50 and below, I think just playing exploitatively is good enough.
I could be wrong but upon exploring the low stakes forums today, it seems quite a few posters are keen to use bluff raising river lines almost for balancing purposes. There's no need for these high level plays if your opponents are not thinking on the same level as you are.
