Define the range you land river with given the line.
Define MDF which here is 67% - Pot/(Pot+Bet) or, which i find quicker to do 1 - Bet/(Pot+bet). So theoretically to deny V ability to bet any 2 cards profitably you should defend 67% of your range here.
Now you should ask yourself, given the previous actions if V is likely to bluff in this spot?
Do you block his best bluffs or not? If any.
Do you block his best values or not?
Can he value worst here?
Then see where your holding fits in the range you have as a defending asset and based on pot odds if this could be a profitable calls.

Why do you call pre-flop?
Raphael,
Could you expand on your definition of Equity Retention as many poker words/terms can have their very own definition depending on the understanding of the player who use them.
As a many understand equity retention as the part of a range who retain his equity over streets of play.
Thanks
