Ok. So this is a bit of an unspecific question. But I need some advice on how to get started searching my PT4 database for leaks in my game. I used to play mostly MTTs and keep trying to make the switch to cash and keep failing hard. When looking at my stats, stuff like VPIP/PFR seem to be fine. I play mostly 25Zoom on Stars. VPIP / PFR comes out at around 23/17. I have noticed that I tend to not fold to 3bets a lot and flat them too often. My fold to 3bet after PF 2bet is at only 36 % over the last 100k hands. I have adjusted this and over the last 10k hands it is around 47% which seems more reasonable. Still I am trying to figure out, what I am doing wrong. I am not looking for any in depth analyses from you guys obv, but I would be super happy for some pointers, what to look for, so I can zoom in on some areas of my game, That need to be fixed. Thank you so much :)

This is very sad news. Had two coaching sessions with him 2 years ago. He was very nice.

Set mining in PLO is profitable. But you want to do it with hands that can make strong sets like TTxx or JJxx. If you play a hand like 33xx multiway, flop a set and get a lot of action, it is likely you are beat,

I'd fold this pre. Even when you hit a set it is rarely going to be top set and you'll get yourself into a lot of bad spots.
The flop does connect with their calling ranges quite a bit and you can't really hope to win it right there.
Betting the turn once i probably ok, because a lot of their hands made straights or 2 pair. But once you get raises there, you should toss it. Oberplaying bad flushes like this, is going to cost you a lot of money.

As you said his range is heavily weighed towards bluffs. The 6d is a complete blank for that range. Considering that after calling the flop raise you should continue with ~70% of your range on the turn you really can't fold AQ there. I'd call here and c/c again on a safe river card.

Good answers. I guess I was being results oriented as he did show up w 87s and I was genuinely dumbfounded that this was in his range.
I did check turn to call river. And I called very quickly. I am just not sure if I played this hand optimally or if I just should have kept betting. I felt like I needed to protect my cbetting range here. Agree that I probably should bet flop smaller. I haven't figured out bet sizing yet and I bet ~62% of pot w most of my cbets.

The thing with the missed hearts is, that Ahxh would be a big part of your range and that would make at least one pair. So you do have showdown value here. I just don't see how you make it to the river with a lot of bluff combos that would make him want to herocall.

How big a leak would be raising/playing for stacks on the turn here? I am transitioning over from tourneys and still think that players go broke there w AK/AQ.
Nov. 12, 2014 | 10:27 a.m.
Yeah with the Qs in your hand you are blocking a lot of FD + overs combos on the flop which he would all defend from the BB. Calling turn and making a decision on the river seems right to me.
