Flopped Weak Pair BB

This is more of a general question than a specific hand history but it's something that has come up a couple of times for me but not sure how to play it.

At my local casino we have a scenario where I'm in the BB with a hand like 64 and action limps round to me. I check and the flop comes J62. I find it really hard to play these spots as I feel it's too weak to check/fold but if I bet out and get raised I hate my life.

I know this is very player dependent as if you're raised by a super aggro player then you can probably ship over the top depending on stack sizes etc. and if it's against an 80 year old nit you can happily fold but I was wondering if anyone else has come across this spot often and has any thoughts on what to do.

Apologies if this is too broad a question where the answer is just 'depends on the players' but I hope it can at least spark a discussion!

Thanks, JC.

No you don't have to hate life If there's a raise, you can just fold.

These kind of low unconnected boards on limped pots are tough for someone to have a hand they want to put a lot of money in. So sometimes you have good bluffs, but don't put lots of money in with a weak hand when your opponent announces strength.

if in a tight or bad game, you can lead REALLY SMALL sometimes and go from there. If bs players (small pairs, gutters, etc etc in their range) call, you can fire most turns. if serious or tight plyrs call you can only fire 4s for value and big scare cards as bluffs. If a six comes vs a serious rock you lose a lot when u r dead and you can get the same turn bet on the river if they just have a jack or mid pair. IF its low stakes or a great game just chk and fold and wait. its hard to put em on hands and the game is good. great spots will fall into your lap later in pots you will actually care about.
