Zoom vs. regular tables
Hi everyone, I am currently wondering whether I should grind in the Zoom pool or rather play on regular tables.
I guess the decision between the two depends on several factors. Currently my main focus is really just to become better at the game and develop a theoretical understanding for as many spots as I can. I am not planning to build up a bankroll right now at NL2-NL10. Once I am beating a limit over a reasonable sample size, I just move up, potentially with an additional deposit.
My personal hunch is that for the learning process, Zoom tables should be preferable since I am playing way more hands and thus train myself in more diverse scenarios and spots as on regular tables. In terms of winrate (and building a bankroll), regular tables should be more profitable in order to target weaker players. I guess my preferred game type should be Zoom right now, but I'm eager to hear your opinion.
Are there any other notable differences between the two?

One advantage of regular tables is you can learn to exploit better because you'll see loads more showdowns from a concentrated group of players so you can build up a better idea of player archetypes. On the flip side a great benefit I find to playing zoom is that I can pause the tables at any moment to go study a hand I just played whilst it's fresh in my mind, rather than having to come back to it later. For me personally that's the most effective method I've found of studying and so for that reason I tend to stick to zoom whenever I can but honestly they're both fine and it's much more important that you're constantly working on your game away from the table and the sitting down each time trying to implement new things rather than the exact game that you play.
Zoom is specifically range based and Regular Tables suit the thinking player also you have the chance to table select Zoom is considered harder than Regular Tables due to been more reg infested and recs can just fold so they typically play better to some extent.
Alright guys thanks for your input!
If play exclusevely stars I guess zoom is more beneficial for micro. Can put much more volume, easier to start/finish, more convinient.
Can only play 4 regular tables at stars which is not as nice, unless you prefer slower pace and thinking through (which might be pretty nice approach).
For learning purpose definitely zoom. You will get more hands in and have bigger sample size to work with.
However pay atenttion to NOT go auto pilot and just instantly clicking buttons. Make sure you pay more attention and take time for important spots.
2 tables of zoom to get fundamentals down is the way to go, no more than 2 though
