PIO, flops and analyzing them.
Hey
Might be a stupid question but...
Does anyone know if you can have maybe around 10 different flop textures that we use every time when analyzing in PIO (or using other methods than PIO for that matter)? By this I mean we have a set of flops that will cover as much as we can in terms of different outcomes, in order for us to analyze it properly and see how a situation depends on the board texture.
One example could be where we have a set which consists of 4 flops:
HHH
HHL
HLL
LLL
where L = 2-9 and H = T-A
Doubt the example above would cover us though... but maye somewhere around 10 different flops (instead of 4) can make it close enough? after all I am not looking for EVERY possible different situation, just the broad tendencies.
Just want to point out again I am looking at this in very broad terms.

PIO flop subsets
Maybe true but they a good representation of the kind of flops you will see % wise and as far as I know there is no good representation of strategically different flops.
Thank you
I often use flops from the 25 flop subset. (I use them just for convenience; I haven't studied which flops to use in detail). It contains several Ace-high flops with one broadway, like A98r, A32r, A65r.
Which flops to choose while designing a strategy is quite complex. I don't know the details, but it seems the approach described there doesn't look at the frequencies of different cards appearing (they considered it but rejected it). Instead, they look at the raw equity and EV of the ranges on various flops.
I don't understand what the number behind a flop means (e.g. 3d9sQs:1.08) :-(
When I generated I saw it sometimes said the number 2 behind and I just thought that this meant that the generator had generated the exact same flop twice.
Correct me if I am wrong. The number behind the flops means how relevant the flop is for the subset being a good representation of all flops.
