NL50 Zoom: standard spot CO vs BB, do I need to cbet? (EV analysis)
SB: $52.00
BB: $50.00
UTG: $113.27
MP: $50.00
CO: $61.49 (Hero)
Pocket pairs: 22-99
Offsuited combos: ATo-AJo, KTo-KQo, QT-QJo, JTo
Suited combos: A6s-ATs, K7s-KTs, Q9s-Qts, J9s-JTs, T8s-98s, 98s.
Since his 3betting range is wide enough, I think most low connectors, and suited aces and kings will end up being 3betted so I dont include them here.
After reviewing this hand, I made a simple CREV simulation to better understand my EV here. So, assuming that my opponent calls or raises this: ( >=middle pair, flushdraw, gutshots or more, Ahigh + bdfd) and folds everything else (1 over trash, 2 overs trash including AJ without bdfd, and pockets under 7), he calls 57% of hands and folds 43% of hands.
Real opponent had 49% fold to flop cbet OOP, so I think number of 43% is fair.
This way, my immediate EV of betting is 0.27, and by immediate EV I mean that to simplify my simulation I fold every turn. So even without outs to A, its good to bet here.
There are 2 problems with my analysis:
1) If opponent calls flops slightly more than 57% of time, for example he calls all pocket pairs, my bet turns out to be -EV, not including later streets.
2) Even if my EV of betting is better than 0, it might not be better than EV of checking, because by checking I generate some equity on my outs (Aces and sometimes Deuces) and have small SDvalue against Khigh and Qhigh.
What is you line here with weak Aces?

I always check back here, there will be opportunities to delay cbet and take down the pot anyways and this board hits his range quite well, if you cbet as wide as this, he can ch/r with all gutshots, backdoors and make a good profit out of that exploiting you.
Absolutly no need to c-bet if you miss in general. I dont like making plays that might have some tiny +EV in which I win 0.05 bb per 100 more in the long run when I can reduce variance and focus on tougher spots.
This board is bad to bet on because you will never ever continue here unless you make the ace.
Villain can have a broad flat defending range against a button steal. You never get him to fold a Ten and probably a 7. He can call with T9, T8,J9, obviously all diamdon draws and sometimes even with a hand like Adx with the blocker the nut draw in order to rep it.
