NL100::JJ v check-raise
HJ: $100
CO: $208.96 (Hero)
BN: $40.72
SB: $70.75
BB: $157.92
UTG folds, HJ folds, Hero raises to $3, BN folds, SB folds, BB calls $2
villain is 36/27/2 over 500 hands. he 3b 10% of the time overall; 18% vs steals. he xR 11%. needless to say, hes the play-making type.
on the flop, villains preflop range is at least {22-TT,A2s-AQs,K9s+,Q8s+,J7s+,T6s+,96s+,85s+,75s+,65s,54s,ATo-AQo,K9o+,Q8o+,J8o+,T8o+,98o} [=30.6% hands, or 289 combs.], quite likely wider; his check-raising range will also be at least {TT,88,AJs-AQs,KJs+,K9s,Q8s+,J7s+,T8s+,98s,AJo-AQo,KJo+,K9o,Q8o+,J8o+,T8o+,98o,Ah8h,Ah7h,Ah6h,Ah5h,Ah4h,Ah3h,Ah2h,9h7h,9h6h,8h7h,8h6h,8h5h,7h6h,7h5h,6h5h,5h4h,Ah9h} [= 170 combs.], against quite likely wider. against such a range, i have 44% equity, so i call.
turn helps T9, J7 ... but his range is really so much wider than that that i felt obligated to call again; assuming he bets again with his entire flop range, ive got 46% equity.
the river improved a lot of hands containing tens, but my overall equity is still 44%. villain checks, and i check it back.
the thing about this hand is that .. villains range is so wide that no matter what scarecard hits, i feel like i need to keep calling.
if the flush completes ... well, villain only has 17 FDs in his range, and hes xR at least 170 hands ... if the turn had been the Ah, and villain fired again with his entire range, id still have 37% equity. [against the Kh, only 29% equity .. interesting.]
in reality, if villain fires a third barrel on a QhTh8c Ah 2s runout ... well, if he bets his whole range again, then i have only 32% equity, but hes most certainly not betting his entire range again, so a fold would definitely be in order.
if the turn had been the 9h .. i guess i would have to call both turn and river?
the potential for really uncomfortable situations it what gave me pause about this hand, but in this particular situation, against this particular villain, i think i played it alright?

Why do you give him such a wide x/r-range on the flop that hits your range pretty damn well?! I read 11% x/r, that´s almost sets only ... it seems as if you´re overestimating his aggressiveness just due to his aggressive preflop stats? I mean, the x/r-range you´ve given him "at least" is almost 60% of his preflop-range!!
I'm not really excited about the flop call, villians x/r is pretty large imo. I would still call vs some people, but definitely folding the turn without improving some way or another.
