What to do
Hello everyone. I have came back to poker after a little break. Been playing 5nl for the past little while. I try my best to read books, study videos and concepts.. I have the Leak Buster App from HM2. But These results just seem to be annoying. I know i can beat the stakes.. but I constantly run into these Fish who play any 2 cards and magically strike the river or call a 4bet shove with 84o for 100BB and magically hit a set or 2pair... I know im not a horrible player but i also know that i need alot of work. Just seems like at this rate its going to take me forever to move up in stakes. Currently playing with $200 BR for 5NL. Is this too much? to little? i wouldn't think being over rolled for a current stake would be a problem.
Are the micro's just this way? should I be investing some time and money into a coach? Should i set a stop goal for myself each day. (i try to play at least 1000 hands a day if i can... usually ends up less during the work week) Maybe i need to try a different style of game instead of 6max cash. It's just frustrating i guess... ranting away. Anyway leave me some thoughts/opinions please.

Watch a video/ read a book and take notes.
Read the notes before a session and be mindful of the theories and strategy you want to apply when playing.
Have a goal to play 2hrs, 3hrs etc. So a good goal "I will play 2hrs and apply xyz theories throughout the session".
If you have essential membership you can watch Study and Review 6max Session by DjuNKeLL. At the beginning he shows a checklist or something to prepare for your session, review during the break and after. It's very helpful!
I usually read my notes and write down the 3 most essential ones that I would like to put in my game and keep the piece of paper in front of me during the session.
You can also try meditation before starting a session! Also very helpful.
I do have essential membership jojo. I may just look into that and i think having some points on a piece of paper may do the trick. thank you.
Jersey grinder - Im going to start doing what you said as well. I will be applying something to a session for at least a week. write them down on the paper as well and go from their.
