If he folds a lot to 3bets we of course shouldn't 3bet such hand. We only get called by hands that dominate us, thus diminishing the benefit of 3bet.
Also I would probably call this hand vs a squeeze (would have to check his squeeze % though).

I think that the problem with this is that our hand is a bit too obvious and his draws or just overcards are just going to raise versus this sizing. We would probably bet bigger with AK, hoping to get all of his stack if he has any midpair.

After c/calling turn, would you c/c on river?

No, I do not discount all combos. I think he slowplays a set here about a third of the time.To clarify, your play would be to c/f the river here?

Unless you know your villain takes advantage of perceived weakness, I think you are better off just betting for value. Most people will not bluff you enough on turn to justify checking.

True, disregard my comment :)

We might be a bit face-up, but we still get action from 44 and 22, only losing to A3s while also protecting our hand from disasterous turn cards such as A, 3 and 6 which is a fourth of the deck! I also don't think we are that face-up, IMO in their eyes it can look as 66-99, A2s-A5s because we are so short.
I don't think donking out random turns accomplishes anything, you're only pretty much hoping that someone hit their 2 pair and will pay you off which I don't think happens nearly often enough to justify it.
I do agree though that donking out is better than anything else.

Even if the BB shortstack is very likely to push over, you're still just losing too much value when you just call and the BB doesn't push over IMO.

I actually think that villain took the perfect line if he had Ax. You don't have a lot of 6x combos here: 66, Ah6h, 6h7h, 56s + occasional other combos of 67s, giving you 14 combos. Combined with the fact that Ah6h and 6h7h will sometimes raise the flop or turn and 67s will occasionaly fold earlier or raise, it makes for a very good shove on the river.
That being said, I think average reg does not do it nearly enough to justify calling.

I don't get why you guys want to call. Here's my reasoning for raising:
- You hate to see 3, A or 6
- You want to protect against hands like 3x, 67s, 45s, while also getting money from 66+. You might be saying there's not a lot of combos of that but the pot is 5-way.
- BU bets $50 into $110 which is pretty low, making you even more inclined to raise.
Do you have no raising range here then? Don't you think if you just c/c everything including 99 and nutFD villain can profitably cbet flop with intention of bluffing a lot on non-spade turns and rivers?
