I think the Kd9d open is fine in general. But c/c flop. You have a ton of showdown value but you'll never get a better hand to fold.
If he checks back flop, you might go for thin válue on turn 7c. But you`ll have to continue on most river cards.

In NL5 you are never ever forced to fold QQ preflop on a 5bet. NEVER. 4bet is perfectly fine!

I think the 4bet is absolutely standard and fine. I like the sizing. I do not like the size of your cbet. Make it larger, mayber near 1.45. As played i think you can only close your eyes and put it in. I do not expect him to have JJ, KK or AA a lot, never set of deuces or fives. Sometimes set of ten. But i expect him to have a lot of bluffs given your weak looking cbet size.
And obviously it was quite a good bluff leaving you a lot of headache :).

Thank you for that comment.

I would lean more towards c/c the flop and reevaluate on the turn.
Your opponent was obviously right when thinking the board hits his range better.

After a long break i restarted playing a litte low stakes NL.
I want to share my thoughts on some hands hand hope to get some input from you.
I think preflop open is loose but ok. on the flop i am pretty sure i am strong. I turn the world and see no reason to slow down here.
The problems start on the river. the ace doesnt look too scary, so i bet again. opponent thinks a while and folds. fine.
What would you do if he had shoved on the river? i really do not know.

According your situation - if you 4b large and he shoves and you expect him to do that with only qq+ and ak imo its still a call. If you add like jj and aq to his range it becomes even more profitable to call the shove. Sure, you are never ahead, but at a standard line (3bb open, 10bb 3b, 30bb 4bet, 90bb shove) - you pay 70 bb to win 133 bb - you only have to win it a little more than 1 out of 3 times - and you do that. AND: At NL10 you still have a good chance villain is going completely crazy...

I think opening q9s is not even close, its a fold. If you thighten up you really can avoid such situations. If you raise you can cbet 1 time and give up then. at river you'll get a lot of calls here.
June 10, 2016 | 11:22 a.m.
I think he would have opened AK, aq and hands like that. I think he doesn't raise too many fds here, so I would just fold. In a 3bet Pot easy shove...

I expected UTG to fold. And vs SB IP pretty good hand...

I don't think he ever has 88, sometimes maybe 55. I think he has a lot of ramdom tens (t7, t8, t9, tj, tq, tk) and you should shove it. At NL5 he easily could have any random hand...

I guess he would have defended his blind with a suited ace. So i think it's an easy call.
May 19, 2015 | 8:52 p.m.
People call way too many hands at small stakes, and imo if you get aggression here on turn your like always beat in that spot.
I would highly recommend a c/r here on the flop. And yes, get it in always. It's NL10.
