Hello, great video thanks again it's awesome !
My question regarding your biggest bluff ever : when i did the sim 200deep, Pio chooses to XB near range Flop. Then Turn and River were fine as played. Any thoughts about that Flop construction where Pio doesn't care to put some money in early in the hand (I included sets in both preflop ranges) ?
Also it got me thinking, that you could be great at explaining some deep stack concepts theory wise. This kind of content is missing on the site imo.
Happy holidays !

Hi Tyler, thanks for the vid !
Couple questions :
the TT vs KQhh spot SB vs EP on table 1, on 853b have you considered lowering a bit your Flop cbet sizing so that vilain's range becomes a bit more trash heavy from the turn ? Or do you prefer a bigger F Cbet sizing so that your pool reads lead you to an easier decision on the turn (coupled with vilain's stab sizing) ?
the TT vs AKo spot table 3 at the very end : in anonymous pools, do you think that taking your decision on vilain not being able to decide how many AK combos he's supposed to shove in a 8 seconds is a stronger argument than him being lazy with AA and QQ (even JJ sometimes possibly) and just hoping you call with worse (or 4bet bluff too much) ?
Thanks !

Hi Ben, very impressive how you quickly cut the "useless stuff" and how it directly transmits into more efficient gameplan, especially considering how little you've been playing nowadays.
For next videos topics, how about analyzing some funky highstakes HHs where some creative moves could be explained by the solver ? Curiosity has to be a key factor for you these days.
Also gotta admit I will deeply miss the liveplay videos once you stop them, such a classic over the years !
Thanks

Hi Luke,
Cool series ! Few questions about the Q4cc spot at 42' :
- how come OOP Turn gets to reopen for 1/2p rather than more polarized here ?
- reasons for IP to delay 1/3p turn as well ?
- you mention clubs being fine to catch with on the river, but aren't they IP's most obvious bluffs ? Or do they end up not being good bluffs precisely because of the delay cbet line ?
I guess his 5x/7x non club make great river bluffs as well but they also get into the Flop Cbet line so they might end up missing also in the river range ?
Thanks and kudos for dealing with constant high pressure during this session !

Hi Luke,
First of all, thanks for the amazing content you provide to the community !
The videos I've seen so far, are a real eye opener to me.
@ 17:15 you say :
"given that i'm not mixing my sizes" [OTT]
Why is that ? Too complex to implement correctly ?
Is it specific to your field, that you estimate strong enough to exploit you vs bad implementation of multiple sizings ?
In this case I assume that on weaker fields we can use this mixing sizings strategy right ?(even if we do significant mistakes when constructing our ranges ingame)
Moreover I saw on a live video that you use mix sizes on the river,
why are you doing it OTR but not OTT then ?
Thanks again for the great content !!

Hi, thanks for the vid.
I actually slightly prefer when you make HHs analyses from your stakes, because it's a good occasion to show different plays from different players than the usual midstakes pool.
Maybe could you think of showing some higher stakes HHs where you see plays that don't often occur on z500 for example ?
Cheers.

Hi Qing !
Missed your videos here, glad you're back !
Just one question, why are so many ATs-AQs as well as half AQo not present in the SB call 4bet range ? Do you put them in the 5bet range instead ?
Thanks

Hey Luke another super vid ! Love this format.
Idea for upcoming videos, tough subject would be how to find more easily the heuristics regarding random 2nd barrel bluffs that Pio picks and humans mostly never do :) I'm sure it would be a captivating one although tbf you already started to mention some heuristics in this video.
36' about the J44b CO vs BB srp, you mention that if we are UTG vs BB, the trips advantage from BB is irrelevant (hence we can range bet), although especially with your small open size BB will have clearly more trips.
Can we make the deduction that the trips advantage only matters if it's regarding the offsuit combos ? and that it's not about the PFR having very little or no trips in their opening range if vilain has some ?
At this SPR I was thinking the trips advantage was a thing compared to 3BP 4BP where solvers don't seem to care if fewer nutted combos aren't in the OR's range.
Thanks !

Good to see some actual explo vid right here ;)
Keep it up, love it !

Nice vid teunuss !
Quick question about the Q84 monotone flop, how come do we bet so frequently OOP given that the Q hits quite well IP's defense range ? is it because of the disconnected aspect of the flop ?
Thanks

Hi Luke, another awesome vid !
At 46' regarding the heuristic between QTTK vs KTTQ, not sure I got that correctly.
- on QTTK, the turn is great for our range so we can barrel more and put instant pressure on BB's Qx with 2/3p.
- on KTTQ, on the turn villain's range will not be pressured as much because he lacks random Qx (but he still has plenty with QJ Q9 for instance), and our Kx region mostly splits (or is crushed by his Tx/str8).
Got that right ?
So rather than using 2/3p and OVB, you'd rather use Pot and decrease frequency ?
At 20' top left table 3BP with KTss : does Pio split with another size on the river (1/2p ? 1/3p?) to include our AJs/QQ since I guess OOP will X some of his OVPs on this particular river ?
Thanks !

Awesome vid, love it. The 1h10 pio analysis on the J44T6 board is super interesting, but super complex to get regarding the bluffing range river.
Many things counterintuitive there, like we see that not all 98o that get there get to bluff, I thought they do block too much the PP8 PP9 region (which wanted to fold vs big and not vs the small block probe anyway), but why do they prefer to have a K or a Q like K8 or Q9 and go big size, rather than 89o ?
I also guess our lowest R can't blindy bluff because they block IP's random folds.
Also not sure about our T6s liking the big size, considering all our other Tx choose the block (maybe IP gets to bet some Tx on the turn so blocking Tx is less of a concern ?). Does the fact that IP has to call the big size with some occasional Ah and PP as well as blocking 66 is a bigger factor than blocking the calling range here ?
Cheers !

Hi Ben, fun vid ! Would be a cool topic if you could make a vid regarding heuristics for uncommon barreling hands that Pio likes to pick in spots where humans never do. Thanks !

Hi, very nice vid as usual !
Regarding next videos I'd love you looking at 3BP being 150bb-200bb deep. I think it's a quite rare topic and lots of adjustments have to be made.
Cheers

Hi Ben, left table 25' , you say the 542b is excellent for OOP. How often do you like defending pre with 22-55 at this stack depth (and deeper more specifically), and do you think a competent opponent should adjust his Flop strategy by being a bit more careful on his big bets choices ?
April 25, 2021 | 12:46 p.m.
Hi, nice vid as always !
In the beginning you mention that you fancy making your open size bigger when recs are in the blinds. This implies you should tighten your opening range (especially on standard tables where it's easy for regs to notice if you abuse like opening 30%+ for 3bb), which kind of goes against the meta of playing as many pots vs recs.
How would you manage that aspect on non zoom tables ?

Hi Ben !
I was wondering why you never make videos on PLO & Mixed Games ? Despite the fact that, according to the Poker sphere, you're one of the best Mixed Games player of all time...

Hi, thanks for the nice vid.
Very interesting AKo vs AKo spot vs BBBets in the end of the video. What do you think your betting range turn looks like regarding bluffs ?
What do you expect CO's range to be like on the river once it calls a big Turn bet ? Watching the video it felt like a clear XC river but as I think more and more about it I'm not sure at all anymore what's best here.
Cheers

Hi Tyler, nice vid !
Back to the Q6dd vs A4 hand at 45', I get your point but I certainly wouldn't have been that much concerned about getting jammed on that particular turn given how it is supposed to be a good one for our perceived range. I would certainly think population wouldn't try to bluff us here at least. Thoughts ? cheers

Hey Qing, excellent video once more !
One question though, it seems to me that the preflop BB calling range you have put is wide. It contains every 4xs combo as well as half 54o 65o which I was personally more inclined to fold pre (for nl500 rake). Thoughts on that ?
Thanks !

Hi, your videos are good content but i have the feeling they are somewhat a bit all the same. Maybe a deeper explain behind each decision/betsizing choice for instance or a theme by session would be a bit better in my opinion :)

Hey great video once again !
21'30 table 4 with AA : i get the benefits of big bets here, however when AsA blocks nut flush draws as well as best top pairs, I would worry about having too much FE considering the plan is to mostly shove safe turns as you did. Am I putting too much weight on this precise portion of vilain's range ?
31' table 1 with QTo : randomizing some X on the Turn seems good to me, but I'm concerned about the plan on the river : expecting having too much pot share to bluff has to do with vilain giving up worse airs than ours which I doubt is likely to happen often enough on this line by him.
Bluffing here seems a bit more attractive than bluffcatching at first glance.
Hope this was clear enough :)

Oct. 22, 2020 | 9:52 a.m.
Hi Krzysztof, very nice vid, good format. You can mix it up with regular tables as well !
In min 26 you 3bet 76s SB vs BTN, commenting you'll 3bet pure here. Most solvers don't recommend to 3bet these connectors even close to pure so is it just an exploit regarding the z500 pool or just you feel comfortable doing this play pure ?
Oct. 12, 2020 | 11:06 a.m.
@8:48 : Not sure to have understand you here you are saying that it's superior to shove KQo in a bounty because you get called by dominated hands right ?
Oct. 9, 2020 | 9:07 a.m.
@11:30 : to me on this hand JT is a hand too strong against such a small siz and we have too much equity to transform it in bluff, that being said i don't think that our opponent is going to 3bet all in us very frequently if not never so i'm curious of what PioSolver says GTOwise and against node lock of no 3bet all in for vilain. I like your bluff with J9. I'm also wondering if transforming in bluff a hand like A6s can be good, no idea if the A is a good or bad blocker. He is going to call AQ/AK as you said in the video but maybe he folds those hands river and we also blocks AT
Thanks for the vid was great ;)

Hi Kevin, awesome vid. When you show the BTN call 3bet range at min 33, we can see AA is supposed to be there around 44%. Is this standard in a HU range ?
July 21, 2020 | 10:10 a.m.
I did not express myself well i just wanted to say that vilain shouldn't have a linear calling range but might have one and i was wondering how to exploit those kind of villains. You answered it perfectly thanks for your quick reply ;)
April 13, 2019 | 3:48 a.m.
Really nice video i loved it i'm still wondering for your question, i asked myself like one month ago exactly the same one : how to exploit a linear calling range in a totally different spot but close to yours at the same time. I'm playing HU hyper so the spot was : 25 deep hero limp, vilain checks, flop A83dcd, hero limp cbet vilain call, turn Kd, and it appeared that some 8d (low kicker) was two barreling on this card) : you can have FE on some Kx sometimes for a 1,5x pot overbet size only you get called by worse 3x with a diamond you have FE on some better 8x without a diamond... I didn't get an answer on how to exploit a linear calling range, i just conclude that it was naturally exploitative if he wasn't going to call the right combos and that i shouldn't barrel myself 8dx. I was frustrated :) So i'm going to read the other comments and try to see how i can apply those concepts in my game and with my stack depth :)
Hi Patrick, thanks for the vid.
15' with AKo sqz Pot. Why 1/3p this Flop ? Expecting IP to barely ever fold a hand here so what was the plan ? Also do you think there's room for block OTR or you're expecting vilain to be too strong/too weak vs bet ?
