if you play decent volume you will become supernova pretty quick which iir works out to around 35%. if you grind tons you could become supernova elite which is like 70% rb.
all just works with milestones etc.

yer i probs wouldnt 3b it vs lex. defending i think is fine. he can go off on 1 quite often and as long as your comfortable playing oop vs his post flop with these type hands its fine.

i think its one of those spots where you can do either and be pretty happy about it.
personally i go for the jam. we have the 99 and 10 blockers. villain could look you up with k or maybe even KQJx type hands. i am however going off this being a macau game and assuming the unknown could be more on the fishy side. saying that a reg could think your line is a BS and also feel fine calling it off.

i see most are saying its not worth it or just dont bother and wait. the villain will know this and expect folds so often. i make weird overbet jams like this alot, mostly against mass tablers, they just see the big bet and dont think it through.
i would be very tempted to call this and see total air.
other streets just cbet and make the pot easier to play in future. i know its good to change things up but your hand is pretty tough to play now. cbet > check raise > check call > check fold.

congrats phil!
did you ever think this would happen when you first started out? how do you react to hitting targets like this?

im backed so i read over the notes i took from my last coaching session with my backer. even if i know exactly what they say i just skim over and make sure its all fresh.
i also have an annoying habit of losing plenty of buy ins in my first couple k hands then spend the rest of the sesh trying to get evens. now i just dont look. i have a set routine and it is what it is. i will only quit if my mind is not right.

i think bf is a line most will take. however iv been bet calling a bit more often in these spots. for villain they turn everything into a bluff on the river. assuming you have an op or a mid strength hand they can blow you off. i keep seeing them show up with a7/a9 type hands. even a8.
which if it was the other way round we would also probably do.
obviously a lower variance play is to check call or check fold if their river bet looks extremely strong. (pot - a few bbs type thing)

i think you are missing out a couple of big stats here. ok so ep they are 15%, so yeh very tight. but whats their f3b%? 4b%?

1. totally fine to flat the flop. you can raise/get it in but vs a nit i doubt were ever in tremendous shape and kinda makes playing similar hands in the future harder to play.
2. obviously calling the turn. although a high flushes and straights are in villains range i think it would be to passive to fold here having 2nd nut flush draw, gutshot str8 draw to the nuts and 2nd pair.
3. i think villains value hand range is like AK, AA, KK, 10 10 and maybe 66. was there many active 3 betters behind you?

i quite like raising these flops and levelling the villain to spazz off or call down with big 10s, straight draws, ak/aq gutshots.
as played i go for a pot sized bet. looks a bit more bluffy like you have a q9, kq type hand or that you have just been floating to rep big otr. think we can get looked up by all 2 pairs and sometimes A high.
if villain check jammed i find the call and expect to see air alot of the time.

bet $18-fold? might hero you with his worse kings or any queens. could even look you up with j10, aj type hands. some regs get stubborn here and dont believe you would value bet top pair here.
i like to find a fold if villain raises as pretty much everything got there. however i dont think villain would raise QJ, KJ, so its generally a flush only that sees a raise. so if you have notes, reads or seen previous hands where villain floats to bluff or has shown tendencies to do so when scare cards peal off then bet calling off is fine, or going for a check-call otr.

totally fine to snap snap snap.
until we have notes saying "leads w sets multiway", "leads top pair k kicker and calls river jams" etc etc then i think flat calling all streets is optimal.
do you fold a spade river? J, K, A, 9 rivers?

dude! where are you located? move sites! play on a euro site on huge flat rate rb. you may reach double figure win rates. games are way softer and the rb boosts rolls so playing higher can be less of a risk for you! drop me a pm, i grind similar on euro sites, would be kool to have some1 to discuss strat with.

well somehow you have managed to apply to the only company that no longer exists! thepokerfarm is over. google as to why! story of a degen basically!
on 2+2 dont worry about having not many posts or no refs. just be honest with everything. there are some stickys from backing companys at the top of the page, that would be a good place to start. then just apply to individual ones that are looking for horses in your area.
what site do you beat 50nl at 5.75bb? thats a really nice wr!
how many buy ins do you have to grind 50nl with? how many tables to you play?

make everything idiot proof!
some things as simple os how to work out your equity. very simple basic math laid out in a easy to read way.
a cool idea would be a few hand scenarios where are options are
1. call
2. fold.
3. raise
4. jam
have all these with the pros and cons of doing so and explain why 1 may equal more profit long run that the other.
hud options. what do the stats mean! yes its all on the hem forum but maybe put your favourite none standard stats on there and explain what they mean and how to use them to make $$$.
good luck writing the book!

just like anything else results speak! going pro is a huge risk and its always great to have things to fall back on such as work experience or qualifications/good grades. you dont have to take the leap str8 away. once your hourly becomes consistently higher than what youre being paid in a normal job then change over.
nothing wrong with having 2 jobs also! good luck!

being a staker/stakee is totally normal and fine if you are doing it for the right reasons. just always remember they will probably be taking HALF of your profits and if you have a losing month you will have to clear that amount before chopping out your HALF the following month. (called make up)
being staked is totally fine and theres tons of ways to go about it (even i could introduce you to some great backers). 2+2 has some very reputable backers and there are tons of sites that do this...just google it and the most known will be at the top of the page.
all backers have different arrangements which is made up by them. some offer higher % splits, some keep a number of buy ins of profit in the account, some are lenient and let you chop out dribs and drabs here n there rather than making you wait till the end of the month. so make sure you ask around and find the deal thats best for you. also make sure you have a good relationship with the backer and that they are going to be helpful rather than some greedy person who sits there just printing money whilst you are doing all the hard work! alot of backers have their own forums, coaching site log ins (shhh) etc etc.
i have been backed before and what i will say is only do this if you really cant afford to br yourself. giving away half of your winnings month on month can get annoying especially if you are playing lower than you used to.
good luck with this. having a 5.75bb wr will have you snapped up by any backer in a heart beat!

11bb wr at 10nl should = close to the same at 20/25nl. + more rb or bonuses. double figure win rates are hard to come by nowadays so just go into the new stakes with confidence that you can crush and have crushed for a long period of time. i know the amounts are higher but im sure you have had sizeable swings by now. maybe have a tigher stop loss to start off with then open that up once you have booked x amount in profit.
remember everyone has moved up and down the stakes and its never easy to instantly adapt and be cool with everything, but after a while its all just the same old same old.
good luck!
