Good video, thanks, nice analysis throughout which is very useful to me. However, I found it very distracting to have the mouse pointer flying all over the screen all the time doing loops.

thanks Mike, good job. I really like learning what your initial reaction is to your hand preflop, and then having you explain your thought process.

Chael, no, Mike is not older than me. He makes me do nothing. I used to try to make him do stuff but I quickly gave up.

Another great video Mike, I think perhaps your best to date. I've been watching your videos and I look at bet timings now all the time, and I saw how the villain bet quickly at 7:52 and again at 23:45. Like you, I said wow, something's going on here. Causes you to reevaluate.

At 5:05 you talked about a weaker player acting quickly if you do. Great info that you can capitalize on. However, when I'm in-game, by the time I realize that happened the next card is exposed and now I have to evaluate. That takes time and consequently I am not able to act quickly hoping the villain does likewise. From now on I'll watch for that and if the next card does not help the villain I'm going to make a snap bet.

Now about playing by feel. In your discussion would you say that 'feel'='intuition'? What a super topic. I'm going to be following this post regularly to see what other players think about it and how often they play be feel. If anyone can give hand examples of when they played by feel that would be great.

I could watch these types of videos all day. Thanks Mike!

thanks Mike, another very good video. I learned from your analysis of the hand at 11:25 what to consider when trying to maximize profit when you turn the nuts. Good job!

this is a great format Mike, would very much like to see it again. Thanks!

thanks Mike, great stuff, please do lots more of this type of video!

July 18, 2013 | 7:32 a.m.

I loved your analysis of board textures on the flop and how that impacts the decision to c-bet, lead out, check-raise, etc. Thanks Mike!

thanks Mike, great job! Very clear and enthusiastic. Learning about correct thought processes and applying them quickly and accurately in real time is invaluable. I'll do my best to incorporate your ideas into my play.

I like this video very much. It makes you think about things you may not normally think about. Good work!

Thanks Mike, another great video. I was really interested in how you feel that AK and AQ are overrated; I'll watch for that in my play from now on.

May 31, 2013 | 7:04 a.m.

Very helpful video, lots of hands against short-stackers and how to handle them. Lots of AK hands too! Very interesting. And I really liked the way you examined timing tells. Thanks Mike!

thanks again Mike, another great video! you are always clear and enthusiastic. I found your criteria of when to isolate very useful, I will use it from now on.

very nice Mike! Your discussion of multiple ranges is elightening, look forward to more!

May 2, 2013 | 7:08 a.m.

really nice explanations of dealing with perceived ranges, blind vs blind, and how to really learn from a mistake. and hiding hole cards really makes you think more! thanks Mike...

you're on the right track Mike, something new, different, applicable and really really needed!

April 15, 2013 | 10:27 a.m.

thanks Mike...I keep learning more and more with your videos. I like you hiding the hole cards occasionally!

April 12, 2013 | 6:21 a.m.

I really like the idea of hiding your hole cards, it adds another dimension to the video. Please do it again. At 31:43 good discussion of calling from the bb w AJ and how to play the hand, and how (and why) to take the initiative on the turn and bet into villain, forces him to play your game instead of you playing his game. At 36:05 you suggested using hold'm manager and use filters to find similar situations in order to understand them better. Great idea. I'd like to see you devoting part of a video to Hold'm Manager and go through something like this. Thanks again Mike, good job!

juancopani, u r absolutely correct! thanks for saying that...

March 31, 2013 | 12:52 p.m.

Thanks again Mike, always very informative and helpful. I really enjoyed your description of the logic you use when planning future streets against specific players. I like the situations you get in where it's either fold or raise, and why. And around 15:55 you thought it thru on what to do on the turn? The villain made a big check raise and you folded having a lot of equity, but folding was correct. It helped you overcome tilt because you thought it thru beforehand. Good job!

March 29, 2013 | 9:07 a.m.

very good video...I learned a lot about your thinking behind playing short stackers and rec players. It will help my game, for sure. Thanks Mike!

March 23, 2013 | 8:21 a.m.

svansa, what are u talking about??? this is a great video, I sure learned a lot. Mike, I like your style of teaching and highlighting active tables is great. Your line of min-betting the river (18:28) was a really interesting (and valuable) approach. At 23:04 I like your reasoning of how to play AA against a very loose player and get value. I particularly found it educational for your detailed analysis at 37:16 of getting 3-bet from sb and your decision to fold vs 4-bet and why (seems to be player dependent) and what hands you'd have to have to just call the 3-bet. Thanks again Mike, look forward to your next one! :)

March 16, 2013 | 7:32 a.m.

I totally agree with Sean's comments! It's very valuable for me as it enables me to become a better player. It was interesting to see how you could force a villain to play your game and get off theirs. The detailed analysis of the hands is an eye-opener as to what's really going on. Thanks again Mike!

March 12, 2013 | 8:20 a.m.

Great Mike, thanks again! You explanation of when people make mistakes because emotions creep into play is very useful. Thanks! Look forward to your next one.

March 3, 2013 | 6:55 a.m.

Thanks again Mike, good job! I liked your descriptions at 15:27 and 25:32 of hard/soft equity. The hand at 39:17 was a great example of planning future streets. I have a question for you: you play hands differently against a nit or a reg. What do you look for to tell the difference in player types? Look forward to your next one!

Feb. 22, 2013 | 8:51 a.m.

Really great video Mike! Highlighting the active table really helps follow the action. I think this is your best video yet. Why do I say that? I take notes during all your videos. The volume of notes I took on this one went thru the roof! Some of the highlights are: 16:18 discussion of the flop and taking the line bet, check, bet as a bluff; nice insight as to how you add a new line to your repetroire; and at 40:09 a great discussion of playing KK from the blinds against an early raiser and how to get value. These are just some of my notes...good work Mike!

Feb. 18, 2013 | 7:38 a.m.

thanks again Mike, good job! I really liked your analysis at 5:58 of how you planned ahead to check raise the flop and what happened when you did. Nice analysis throughout the video of using 'standard' plays and the benefits of deviating. And your comment to look at the situation first and then look at the villain's stats was most enlightening. Looking forward to your next one!
