Thanks for the reply. Is 60 hands enough to use the 19/13 stats as anywhere near reliable?

Thanks for the replies. I can see where you are coming from. I was thinking that his raising range from the CO would include quite a few weaker As and a few Qs, both of which I would think players at this level would be happy to bet 3 streets with when I don't raise flop or turn. Maybe I have this wrong! Can definitely see the river problems though.

Hi elbabbelino, I'm pretty new to this forum and this thread was one of the first I saw when I started reading through. It's been extremely enjoyable to read and you've done a really impressive job both on the actual results and the write-ups/analysis. I look forward to reading your review!
Something I wondered about your thoughts on - were you able to get a good grasp of the types of ranges you can expect from the different types of players in this pool? i.e. those players who a multi-tabling regs, those who are one or 2 tabling recs, differences between them etc?
Also, in my experience at this level it is rare to see any all-in pre with less than AA/KK - your experience is obviously far higher than mine now so I wondered if that tallies with what you have found?
Thanks for the thread :-)

Thanks for the replies, I think it is probably a leak of mine that I worry about FDs too much, I'm going to check my HEM database and see how true this is! I ended up folding this as thought about it too long and got timed out, but really should have called.

Hi elbabbelino, I'm interested in your flop cbet sizing - do you usually cbet so small, or what factors influence your sizing? I have always tried to keep a similar size cbet regardless of my hand/range but I guess at this player pool you can change it around depending on villain?
Sept. 21, 2017 | 11:50 a.m.
Yeah I get that it is only part of his range, maybe I worry about FDs too much.
Sept. 20, 2017 | 4:24 p.m.
OK so you think my question is dumb. Surely villain has a lot of FDs in his range, I don't get why we'd want to let him hit it for free. Yes we're happy if we can check/raise but good chance he just checks back? I'm here to learn so happy to be told why my thinking is wrong.

If you check the flop aren't you giving FDs a free card? Isn't it best to make them pay to hit it?
Sept. 20, 2017 | 8:33 a.m.
I agree with folding the flop, I've played at this level for a while now and have yet to see a flop check-raise that isn't very strong, it's usually sets in my experience.
I'm wondering about pre though - is 3 betting a better option than calling?

Dunno what you mean about me misreading it, there's nothing in my post about him bluffing with AK... whistles innocently...!!
So I plugged the cards into equilab, gave Villain a range of JJ+,ATs+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,AKo, and it gives you equity of 49%, so based on equity that's a call right? Include AQo and it goes up to 53%. If you take out AK as you believe he would have bet the turn then you have almost 65%.
Sept. 19, 2017 | 4:14 p.m.
Do you think he has JTs, QJs, QTs in his call 4bet range? If you do, and you discount AA/KK from his range as he'd 5bet pre, then I think you have about 50% equity, maybe more depending on the exact range you put him on for calling a 4bet, especially if you include AA/KK.
The $12 bet into an $18 pot gives you pot odds of 40% so from an equity point of view I think that's a call. If you take JTs, QJs and QTs out of his range then it's tighter.
I think that's right, happy to be corrected on any of it though!

I play $10 NL Zoom at Stars, so the play will be a bit different I guess, but it is very rare to see someone go all in pre with anything other than AA/KK. I would definitely be 4 betting in this spot, probably to something like $2.50-$3, but if the SB then shoves I don't think we have the right equity to call. Even if we consider the rare occasions it could be QQ/AK I think we're too thin.

"Against this pool and without reads, the shove from SB is almost always AA,KK" - which pool are you playing, is this $10 Zoom?

Is the flop bet quite a bit too small?
I've only played the £1/£1 cash games at the Vic during Saturday and Sunday afternoons/evenings but in general the tables are very soft and beatable. I think if you are a decent player then while the rake is annoying you can certainly make some good money there.
