what is a condensed range?

i do get what both of you are saying, but wonder whether we should take more exploitative lines and deviate from the typical RIO, GTO, PIO solver sort of frequencies in spots in these bovada games given they're random 25/50 cent players, in most cases deviating under the assumption that they flat too wide and don't defend enough when we bet multiple streets
March 10, 2016 | 6:50 a.m.
just 10 min or so in and i like it a lot, but i think you could improve by not saying "gonna bet here with a bdfd" as a comment on a spot. like @9:40 you cbet axqs on T84ss and say "gonna start with a cbet with a bdfd" vs 2 peels from the blinds. i'm thinking, and i may be wrong, that any 2 broadway is going to be a cbet there, bdfd or not, but since you mention the fact you have a bdfd, it makes it feel like that's the reason why you're cbetting, and makes me intuit that with no bdfd you wouldn't cbet, yaknow? gonna continue watching now...

curious how that one player who you referenced as the only person to raise turn/river after checking back the flop does in the games. is he winning alot?
Aug. 5, 2015 | 1:22 p.m.
how does he remember u started btn?
July 27, 2015 | 8:23 a.m.
I defend BB with KdQh8s8d. Villain has reasonable VPIP/PFR stats.
Flop 7c9sQh, I check villain checks back
Turn 6h, So I have straight blockers and a pair. I bet 3 into 3.50, he raises to 8.
Should I 3bet bluff here all the time?
Should I start by checking turn?
July 27, 2015 | 6:58 a.m.
dude nobody on this planet calls a raise with 55 here. you're delusional.
July 23, 2015 | 9:17 p.m.
as far as other fullhouses go, i count 1 AA, 3 KK, 3 KQ, 3 55. no way he stacks off with 55. so that leaves 1 aa which beats us, 3 kk which beat us, and 3 kq which don't all stack off. there are more that beat us than we beat. raising would be awful.

Pot KQTTcc UTG snug player calls CO Ac4c5d flop, Cbet or no?
In general I feel like I cbet too much here

Nice one.
edit: I can't find the heart button on Ipad so I have to comment to show appreciation :)
July 20, 2015 | 9:28 a.m.
I found it. Just go to cnet and search "random number gen". It's the first option.
July 20, 2015 | 7:35 a.m.
So GTO he factors in his humanness. Nice one.
EDIT: 47:30 folding 77 as CO vs HJ 2.75x open... does this not play well enough as a 3bet? I know your strategy involved not calling/only 3betting here, but figured 77 would be good enough. Any more recent thoughts on this overall strategy or this particular hand?
EDIT2: 53:09 BTN raises we defend JTo flop A97r we c/c, turn offsuit 5, check villain snap checks, river 2 we bet villain calls and shows AQ. Wondering what you think of villain's line since our c/c twice range on that board is probably limited. Also wondering what you think of that line on an anonymous site like Bovada, because I think it makes more sense there.

Really liked the Warren Buffet anecdote at the end. Amazing video yet again.

Had to pause and LOL @ the idea of a curious, contemplative Phil Galfond sitting 1/2 Bovada for the first time taking bet chk bet line vs some guy calling utg raises with 8643r refusing to fold on a 4 str8 board and remarking, "well we learned a few things there". <3 Bovada... makes for a great video. Hope you run it up, as there's plenty of 5/10, 10/20 action.

Hi, my name's also Tommy. If you're looking for something to read, and are considering a dharma book, check out Krishnamurti. He's really highly rated on Goodreads, fwiw.

I raise AhQJ6h from btn, sb calls playing 50/5 over 20 hands, BB calls

cool to see you goof up and go for the CIB with that a6 hand. cool to see that high level players are also liable to goof a hand up.
nice video.

Seems like most videos are editing out simple spots, and probably for good reason, but I need the basics.
Are there any videos strictly for just simple PF spots?

You sound like my doctor... who also happens to be a guy who knows his shit. Enjoyed it.

I'm going to make this site called Howmanytimesyouwannarunit.com, and then only run it once in my videos.

Competent kid who I don't really have any info at all on except that he does well, and he knows I'm competent, sits at a table with myself and 6-7 other very bad players at the local 2/5.
Limp, Limp, kid raises 35, fold to me in SB with AA and 500 effective (all involved have 500, limpers included).
I raise to 80 and everyone folds.
Should I flat here given that we have no history? How often should I flat here given a history that I'm a frequent 3bettor? Limpers both call if I flat 100% and play medium-bad OTF. If they were the worst of the worst I think I'd flat always.

I think you just talking more would be an improvement... Talking about hands your not involved in and talking about hypothetical spots for a start
