Noticing all possible straights (and str8-draws) was definitely one of the least intuitive aspects of hold'em and omaha when I started playing. One day, I said enough and systematically went through all the possible types of made-straight and straight-draw board textures on the flop, turn and river on paper. Smooth sailing after that day ... so far.
Particularly boards with multiple straight over straight possibilities due to multiple three-to-a-straight cards and 4-to-a-straight board textures. For example: 936K7 or K6J95.
