Post | sammut posted in NLHE: basic Math

I once saw a post, where on the Flop we should have a 2:1 ratio in favour of bluffs, on the Turn 1:1 and on the River 1:2 in favour of value hands. In another post I saw that the combos we should bluff with change when we use difference pot sizing.
So why should i have on the Turn for example a ration of 1:1 although I bet for example 75% of the pot. (when I bet 75% of the pot I'm laying to my opponent 3:7 pot odds --> so that would mean 3 bluff combos for every 7 value hands -->43% bluff combos ). I don't get why I should bet on the Turn with a 1:1 ratio.

Can anybody help me?
Thanks

thanks, but I want to try it without a coach first. And since I'm kind of bad with computer programs like CardRunnersEV, I hoped I could get some good advice here...does anybody do work besides the table, mostly math oriented...some examples would be fantastic...bb

Post | sammut posted in NLHE: how to work on my game

hey guys...

I want to get back to poker, and I'am willing to put more work in my game. I already made some math work, but am kind of lost on what to work on. I'm mostly interested in doing things like game theory staff, reviewing hands very math oriented...are therey any good videos about that? or does somebody got a good tip for me?

my last hand I did work on, looked like this...

c/r with J8o on QQTr board

HU
SB raise 2bb, Hero calls

Pot: 4bb
QQTr
Hero checks, SB bets 3bb, Hero raises to 9bb, SB calls

SB ranges:
assuming Villain is kind of a calling-station: every Tx, AJ, AK, J9, J8, K9, KJ, 98, 22-AA, every Qx = 366 total Combinations

Pot: 22bb
QQTr 4r
bet or check?

-what range can we get to fold by betting?
22,33,55-99, J8, K9, 89 = 76 combos
366 = 100%, 76 = 21%
% = T:G

how many times does the bet have to work? what size can we bet?
It has to work 21% of the time and we can bet 6bb.

for bluffing: bet/pot(pot after bet)…so if Hero bets 11 into 22; 11:33 = 33% needs to work 33%, if Hero bets 6 into 22; 6:28 = 21%
21% G 22 T

Hero bets 6bb, Villain calls

Pot: 34bb
QQTr 4r 5
bet or check?
-what range can we get to fold by betting?
T2-T7, AJ, AK, KJ, J9 = 118 combos
290 = 100%
118 = 41%
T:G = %
Villain needs to fold 41% of the time.
-if Hero bets 17 into 34; 17:51= needs to work 33% of the time.
-if Hero bets 24 into 34; 24:58 = 41%

so 24bb is the way to go…
Hero bets 24bb into 34bb…Villain folds 41% of the time… = break-even bet

thanks

Post | sammut posted in NLHE: HU stats questions

hello guys...

I've got some questions about how to interprate some HUD stats, especially in heads up games.

Turn CB - at what number is villain double barreling a lot? what's an average number? And is the Flop CB stat important to analyce the TCB stat? When yes, how?...And can you recommend me an article about some stats. I searched a lot on the internet today, but just could find some basic stuff. I know what they mean, but want to know some exact numbers...

thank you guys...

I 3B because I think it's to weak to call vs an UTG raise.
UTG player is a 24/19 with a F3B 89, PFR EP 19
cold caller is 18/12, FcFCB 33, W$WSF 60, AG%R 33 over 100 hands

I'm mostly unsure about the turn spot...It seems to me to be too thin to bet for value vs that tight guy...but It kind of sucks to give a free card. But since I don't think he has a lot of speculative hands in his range, I think I'm behind his range on the T, so checking is good? I'm also afraid to get c/r on the T by his overpairs and AK, AQ kind of hands with a heart. maybe check back T and call any brick R?

thanks for your answers
