You also have to take into consideration that 25 husng are harder to beat than 25nl cg. I think they're equivalent to 50 or 100NL 6max. Also search for winrates on sharkscope if they are realistic.
And fastfold or zoom cg will be very hard or near impossible to beat per 10bb/100, only regular cash game tables you could reach those winrates imo.

Are you making a contract over a year? If not they should accept one year advanced payment of course. Where I live (south of europe) the minimum is also one year, but I try to make a deal to a 6month contract and pay more 10-15% equivalent. Many do accept.
The only con is there are less apartments to chose from in a short term contract for locals, most of those are in the tourism or airbnb market and are more expensive monthly rents of course.

Basically the same. I had a girlfriend who played on both and the winamax rake was a bit higher but she played zoom on stars.fres.
Not that important, when you reach NL50 it's probaly worth maybe playing more on winamax because of rakeback and the field is slightly softer.

Playing more hands?
For me it's the opposite, when playing live there are several things that can tilt me that don't happen online: Time per hand, lighting of the room, fullring tables, unconfortable chairs, people's smells!
But I rarely play live, only in some tournament events play some cashgames and the mains.

Too expensive and only 25flops, better look elsewhere

You need to have some sample to apply for staking.
BTW it's very easy to get a double digit winrate (10bb+) in NL2 at winamax/stars even with high rake. I would say only NL25-50 is a bit hard to beat because of the rake vs average quality of play.

You can play in pokerstars from france. MTT Sng and zoom pools are shared, regular tables there are restrictions/segregation between countries.

Play on stars.fres up until NL50, after that it's probably worth to mix in winamax

RIO probably should contact slayerv1fan and other sng players, most of the hs action is passing to party from stars with the diamond club thing right now.
They could make some leaderboards or some sort of point system etc. Anyway recreationals enjoy playing FR at least in MTT's, maybe 8-handed is a good compromise in multitabletourneys.

At lower stakes you need less buyins, you can take a 5 buyin shot at 75 for example if you have the discipline to move down or deposit again. As you move higher it's better to increase the bankroll to 80-100 buyins is a reasonable amount to have for cash games to be safe through bad streches of variance. You can always move down.

I can tell you what I wouldn't invest in: Preflop ranges and mental coaching.
If you're playing NL10-NL25 I would invest 15 bucks in oranges calculator and see/improve knowledge how ranges interact with certain boards. That's the best value software. Flopzilla is also good.
I also think people aren't using pokertracker or holdem' manager well enough for studying. The rest put on your bankroll and runitonce essential. Also play alot, invest in good ergonomic setup/better monitors. People pass too much time thinking of coaching and software and few time playing. That's one thing one has to admire people who play MTT's, at least they are putting the time in.

Any places in latin america where you can stay in a 6 month visa, or are all just 3 months (possible to renew +3)?
Also do people who travel just play out of their laptop or bring desktop and monitors or maybe buy local. Another thing in terms of desk and chair can you buy and sell easy locally 2nd hand before you leave? I guess I'm getting old with these kind of questions or at least my back is!

Poker isn't a game of averages, it's a game of playing against singular opponents in specific situations. Unless you're playing in anonymous tables this is a waste of time. A Nick Howard promoted waste of time.

Can't remember the time probably close to two years and several deposits of 50 to 100 dollars. Normally run it up to several hundreds and then took shots at big tournaments or satellites to hit big scores. As it never happened didn't follow bankroll management and busted the account eventually.
But always enjoyed so I kept playing until started to have consistent winnings. I think you only have a "gambling problem" if you don't enjoy playing anymore and feel forced to do it or spend money that is essential for your living. If it's money that you'd spent in other form of entertainment, buying something, drinks on a night out etc. don't worry about it.

I think it will be good for studying and doing general tasks on PC, but not for playing poker or doing heavy concentration work. But maybe for long MTT sessions (think SCOOP) may prove useful to give a short walk every couple of hours plus the scheduled breaks.
I also would like recommendations for treadmills and standing desks in euro stores. I got one from ikea but I'm thinking upgrading.

I'm also interested in this. Workout at some hour is good, but what about specific stretches to do for 5 minutes at a time. I feel that Jason Koon has probably studied this to a science. Calling Jason Koon or anyone else to post links for youtube videos or any other sources!

I think in case of oborra it speaks well of pokerstars security. Because he was a very good human player to begin, with real time assistance, they couldn't just ban him just because a couple of HS players were suspicious.
He had been under investigation before, and passed security probably because he played well and similar to the data they had on him, even without any assistance. On a second investigation he probaly failed the test so they banned him then and refunded money.
I think that's the solution, or we could have arbitrary bans or ignoring the problem like some other sites do without any thorough research or investigation.

Don't feel bad about purchasing snowie. Also don't start going in lots of various directions with different software.
For example, ZeroS (SinKarma on PS) recommends people study with snowie in small stakes (up to 200NL) instead of more advanced software, since it's more easy to apply your learning potential. You'll probably make more mistakes trying to apply strategies from GTO+ and the like, and spend a lot of time tinkering with it that should probably be spent on the tables instead.
And top players still use Snowie to study multiway pots, and compare it with other tools (custom made decision trees, other game theory software), so don't worry about it being "outdated".

Good to read that the team is focused in bringing the best possible product to the market.
A few ideas that were probably already mentioned here or in twoplustwo:
- The priority is to bring the most number of players to the site. Not sure if you're going to have nanostakes (2c, 5c etc.), but thinking of the poker ecosystem (I know, this expression is used in a selfserving way by the sites but...) it would be a good idea to limit the number of tables people could play in lower stakes. So beginners and recreationals have a better chance of winning and moving up. This would be a progressive limitation, so for example if someone wanted to play 20 tables of 1/2 or 200 dollar tournaments by all means they should be allowed to if they aren't bots.
The rewards/bonus system should mirror pokerstars of old(?) in style, the most successful ever but should be capped at something like ~30%, and be possible to reach by most players. Make somo fun progress bars/stars/status or whatever graphics to motivate people to reach their goal.
If it's possible out of the gate have a good variety of mixed cash games. A 10 or 12mix cash game could be a lot of fun and bring good action to high stakes.
In terms of marketing it's imperative to make good use of social media that propagates by all followers who share the message in Instagram, Facebook etc. It would be cool if you could pay to have known players streaming live on twitch or youtube, maybe playing smaller stakes games because they might be shy about revealing their own strategy. So it would be more for entertainment, it could be different guests every week.
Depending on the marketing budget, it could be a good idea to make a cash game show with well known players and personalities, to be released on youtube for instance since it's probaly too costly to have them on tv networks. It's a nice way to market the new site.
Also depending on the budget, have a live poker tour with tournaments that could be entered by winning satellites on the site, this would also be a great promotion. But of couse it's a lot of work to organize a poker tour.
Also, more and more countries are regulating online poker making it a closed or regional thing, do you have any intention of entering regulated markets in the future. For instance there's talk in Europe that Italy, France and Portugal will join player pools and make a regional market, do your company have any intention to operate in such markets?
Lastly you should time the release of the site around one of the announcements pokerstars makes every few months in the last couple of years with negative news. Just have to follow twoplustwo or their social media when they test the waters before implementing something new bad for the players, and have a blitz marketing campaign for RIO poker ready to go!

Good stuff. Maybe it's too early to ask, but i'll do it anyway:
How is the new site going to tackle the problem of seating scripts and waiting lists? I much prefer regular tables to rush/zoom poker, but it seems a pain to get a seat in any desired online table in certain stakes if you don't engage in some sort of script/tech battles.
What about rake/rewards/bonus, how will it follow in comparison to the rest of the industry? Will it reward players by volume, certain afilliates, a flat structure?
I hope you guys have a budget high enough for making a great software and for doing marketing to attrack new players. Boa sorte!
Move up where they respect your income.
Depending where you live you should play NL200 to be a pro. Even if you live in a lower income country you should shoot to make several x of the average national income. You have to invest money wisely in growing your carreer, in your future (stocks etc), if you want to make it a job longterm.
So keep your day job and save to have a bankroll on the side and live expenses for at least 6months but ideally up to 12months to give it a shot. It seems you're still in the wishful thinking phase. There are other games besides zoom and other poker sites btw.
