Hi!

I have been playing now for almost 10 years and nowadays I play mostly live MTTs since I think the value there is the best and online is getting tougher and tougher every day.

For this year I would like to change the way I play my flush- and straight-draws since I believe that is one of my leaks in live tournament poker. I am used to play draws quite aggressive and possibly even get my stack in if I flop a nut-flush draw and 1-2 over cards. But the more I play MTTs I see that very few players, even good ones, play draws that hard. So with this discussion I would like your input on how to play these hands with parameters such as number of BBs, number of BBs compared to villains, number of players in the pot, position, if there is a squeeze opportunity, if we the pot is heads up or not, if we have the villain(s) covered or not and the stage in the tournament (Our M-value compared to the average M for example) and also other parameters if I missed any.

So, how do you play these and how do you think in different scenarios, and why?

Lets make a real good thread of this one since I am SURE we all face this very regulary.

Lots of questions now but that's the point right ;-)

After 23 minutes you have the 9 high flush and you decide to check the turn when checked to you on the button. Why don't you bet there and take home the pot instead of risking a two pair turn into a full house on the river?

Another question,. after about 18 minutes you have AAT6 in sb and 3bet and then you continuation bet quite small. Lets say he decides to shove on you with his small stack. Do you plan to call him then since his range may include so much like AKxx, flush draws, straight draws, flopped 2 pairs etc or do you fold. What is the plan?

In general your videos and commenting is great but sometimes a little too hard for me as a non native english speaking person to get all the "lingo" and poker terms. I suggest you move down to 2 tables when making live videos like this one and spend some more time on analyzing and explaining and even explain the specific terms used. But just my point of view.

Thanks again for a great website. Love the new design as well!

Hi,

After about 5 minutes in the video you defend bb and flop top 2 pair with 96xx in your hand and then you choose to just check call his cont bet instead of check raising. Can you explain the idea with not protecting your top 2 pair there please? In my world you essentially give up on the flop.

Thanks!
Robert
