Some very interesting points there, interesting to know what Pedro Madeira thinks??
Feb. 18, 2019 | 1:31 p.m.
Hi Pedro thanks for feedback, I think when I get XR on river I start doubting how I played hand, but good to see re-assurance from you.

Hi Pedro, my first thought would be to 3bet pre? with AJs we could maybe flat but playing AJo OOP against a 32bb stack isn't this a little minus EV?
Oct. 5, 2018 | 12:33 p.m.
jam all day long
Oct. 5, 2018 | 12:29 p.m.
I think this is a call, this is a spot I see quite often big stacks jamming hands like 33+ against a stack <20bb especially when they they don't have similar size stacks left behind them, I think with AJ AT he would probably flat more.

Hi Pedro
Thanks for your reply, yea I agree AS PLAYED it probably is a shove OTR. You have mentioned that he would never fold a K..? Can we look at this from Villain perspective? I have triple barrelled, surely I have a lot of Kx (better kickers) in my range as well as AA? shouldn't he be folding to my Cbet??

Thanks for the reply, yea I agree about the perk of aggro, having slept on it I think I should have folded pre for a couple of reasons, 1) i was in 16th position and there were weaker opponents on my table, i could have waited for alot more spots spesh when 55 bigs deep. 2) playing AJo OOP against a strong opponent is -EV here.

River defo fold, TTJJ he would prob X on river as you mentioned, his range is QQ+ with AQ in there too, AK he prob gives up on river after firing twice. River helps your prec'vd range, so I think its defo a fold. I personally wouldn't open QJo from pos your in, suited yes, I think your line is ok though.
Feb. 27, 2017 | 4:19 p.m.
what would you do with QQ here?? Just a thought...
Feb. 22, 2017 | 11:09 a.m.
completely agree, seeing it from your point of view I totally get it, I just thought at the time folding pre was too nitty, flop I know I should have folded! but as you mention above I agree now with folding pre and looking for better spot. thanks :)

- this, im XR allin on flop here, OESD plus backdoor flush draw, looking at stack sizes and blind levels I assume your in the money so I would defo take this line here, look at our stack if we win - 33k ish :)
Feb. 17, 2017 | 11:52 a.m.
Call all day long my friend! you have 4 big blinds left, UTG will be shoving his 10 big blind stack so wide here to put pressure on table, even if UTG had played super tight, its still a call
Feb. 17, 2017 | 11:43 a.m.
XC flop as you mentioned, I check turn for sure always here to keep his air hands & Jx Qx in, XC or XR are both good IMO, if he calls turn I even XR river to be quite honest coz he is gunna value bet any J or any Q, suppose leading out as played isnt bad. I think all in all I defo X back Turn.
Feb. 1, 2017 | 11:02 a.m.
I fold that hand pre with 19 bigs, suited suppose we can open, others way disagree with me as you wanna stay aggressive. even if you raise slightly bigger pre V isnt folding 9Ts to your open. I think folding turn would be a mistake coz of all the money out there, I dont actually mind a check back on the turn actually to control pot and call river??.
Feb. 1, 2017 | 10:54 a.m.
IMO, fine as played apart from I bet 4k ish on turn, fold river.
Jan. 31, 2017 | 1:26 p.m.
Completely agree, the more ive thought about the hand the more I was leaning towards calling turn and river, keeping variance down and still have a reasonable stack to play with afterwards.

tough spot man but your fold on river is correct, i think your line OF is fine, i prob fold the turn because he is always gunna be betting river and I think he has a 7/Q in his hand alot here and he isnt slowplaying IMO coz he is OOP, and early stages of tourney, he prob also thinks you wouldn't be folding any mid pair on that dry board. interesting to know what other thinks
He was actually the small blind, I think it was the way the table broke to the FT...
Based on the above Jae, would you have flatted turn and called river?
Thanks
