Do you not check the J8s on the turn because your range is so weak? My intuition is that you'll have a lot of broadway + gut shot hands/ weak a-x, and your value is like occasional QJs, J8s, AJo. If you bet all these hands it feels like you can easily be exploited by him betting the turn. Also, your hand would play well as a check-shove coz so many hands have equity vs it.

With the KKQ3 don't we need to be folding more than 21% of the time? Because you're comparing the EV of 4 betting to folding, but we need to compare EV of 4 betting to flatting. He needs to forgo the EV of flatting in position, with you having a defined range, to 4 bet, so I reckon he needs a lot more fold equity.

Hi Phil,
In the hand where you had KJ29 and the flop was QQ7 u chose to c bet after opening whereas on an AA8 board where u had an ace you didnt c bet. Whats the difference in the two situations?
