Very interesting you think AK plays badly coldcalling as i am intuitively thinking the opposite, for starters we are leaving villains lower Ax in range which would pay us some bb.
cold 4b calling off seems pretty -ev considering most villains 3b utg like 4%
i dont have a serious comment on turn size but as i want to be stacking off with my value part , im also bluffing this big.
I dont think river is that bad for my move, villain is left with mostly 6c of QQ 3xKK and 3xAA + some. So the question is will my jam be an autoprofit?
Sept. 7, 2015 | 4:05 a.m.
xc turn seems withoutaplan play to me. what plan do we have on rivers? i mean what rivers are we calling a bet? Do we lead-fold Q river?
Sept. 6, 2015 | 8:32 a.m.
My coldcalling range is pretty tight, i will flat KK-AA depending on the villain.
Agree with your post analysis.
In my eyes villain has 3xAA 3xKK 6xQQ , he would have bet most Jx otf , could have some AT.
So in game i was thinking this to be an autoprofit spot, people tend to overfold.

Yes, guys I dont like my flop raise given board texture, but at that point i was thinking villain is very laggy and might spew , but in the end I was the one.

I dont like how I played this, seems like calling>jamming , we need 35% fe, which we dont have imo. We are on the border of immediate odds and we have the disguised straight outs which get us good value.

When you fold your SB , you lose 50 big blinds per 100 hands.
Your goal should be to minimize this loss.
You should open all the hands you play better than losing 50bb/100.
May 16, 2015 | 3:15 p.m.
Care to elaborate how hero is near the top of his range?
What do you think hero ends up with OTR given this action?
May 15, 2015 | 4:12 p.m.
Hi Nick,
I disagree with hero having air. Villain can bet any two and hero folds most of his range OTT , floating with air would be pretty sick given range disadvantage OTT.
OTR villain checks his polarized range.
Now we bet AK and get folds from all worse and X/R from better.
Imo we bet 88,99 and 50% 89 + JT if we float that (excl. JsTs) for bluff OTR
Ax for X back imo
May 15, 2015 | 11:39 a.m.
I cannot think of enough bluffs to justify this river call
May 15, 2015 | 9:20 a.m.
You are pretty nutted when you call turn and all river cards will lose villains range advantage.
So he has to check river, you have your sets and some 89 to bet and you decide to bet AK with this terrible sizing for what reason when you dont even have any stats?
May 15, 2015 | 8:53 a.m.
Equity will remain close on all turns, tho 9 is the better turn for BB, we have 40/60 range disadvantage and dealing with and aggressive player, do not bet.
OTR equity remains about the same.
I think you should be checking 77 here most of the time, higher EV that way.
May 15, 2015 | 6:41 a.m.
Not a good turn card for you, i think you need close to 45% FE, given stats villain should fold ~50% of his range. Marginal.
shoving/folding > calling
May 14, 2015 | 5:02 p.m.
Yes thats true, i have done some range construction, but it seems one has to exercise a lot to be able to adjust to various villains while playing.
May 14, 2015 | 2:40 p.m.
Hi, isnt 4b ration of 4.8 and fold vs 5b 60% kind of ok since guys at 10z 5b less overall?
May 14, 2015 | 2:32 p.m.
LuckyMer yes i wrote EV bb/100 , very good to know 180bb for 4b-s is low!
When i took AA-JJ,AK off i get -221bb/100 , when i add Saw turn=true , i get -900bb/100
My 4b range is actually not high, 4.8 to be exact
I have to stop being aggro vs strong ranges
May 14, 2015 | 11:54 a.m.
Hi, i dont think my VPIP is that high, im playing 23/19/9
As for RFI : 16/18/24/44/49
I looked at HM and Hero Call 3b = -110bb/100 and Hero 4b = 180bb/100
How are these numbers?
May 14, 2015 | 9:56 a.m.
Heros pos BB and 3b = false gives me 24k samples at -55bb/100
Flatting in BB vs SB gives me 2.2k samples at -70bb/100 : O this is interesting, i dont know if this sample size is too small, still -70bb is pretty big given im IP
Im actually 3betting like 20% vs SB opens
I have only 319 samples where im flatting 3b vs SB or BB and im loosing -90bb/100
When i filter for just SB/BB 3b and im OTB i get 2.6k samples and -80bb/100
Again i dont know which sample sizes matter how much
I cbet 52% IP generally
May 14, 2015 | 9:43 a.m.
I agree, my cbet OOP is 62/61 for flop/turn
Maybe its a sample size issue, when i have couple hundred hands and villain has overaggro stats i cant help myself bluffcatching on good runouts, but they still have it : (
When i filter for Called 3 bet = TRUE i get 1283 samples and loosing at -110bb/100

Hey guys!
I have 150k of 10 Zoom under my belt and am not happy with the results, although i have certainly been on the wrong side of variance.
Maybe there is something you can compare to your stats or spot some "off" numbers that make my life hard.
~40 stats by position from HM2 :

Hey Steve
Note for future :
the VLC player bar kind of bothers popping up all the time, its blocks table #3s action a bit, you can use spacebar : )
Otherwise solid as usual!
Cheers
teunuss, good luck with the grind!
is by any chance your rng generator publicly available?
