At around 34:30, you say that A9 is a good calling hand because it blocks some hands that he would want to CBet the flop with. This line of reasoning is wrong. Given that he did not CBet the flop, the particular hands you are talking about (which have a 9 in them) are ALREADY out of his range (or appear at low frequency) in this spot, so the A9 does not actually "block" them. When considering blocker effects, you need to look at the range of hands that he actually gets to this spot with given his line so far. You can't "block" hands that aren't in range anyway.

Actually, this also begs the question, can you ever credibly rep the nut flush on the river?

Re: the AsJc/QhQc hand, he probably thinks you're usually capped below QQ (including having no flushes) after you check back the turn, and that you're repping A2 or similar for value when you jam the river, so he's only worried about trips and hands that decided to trap. Maybe he thinks that on the turn, you're checking back a lot of AK/AQ combos with a spade in them that want to see a free river, which makes his call maybe a bit worse because he blocks the AQ portion of that range.

Would it make sense to check back the turn with overpairs with a spade, which don't want to get check-jammed on turn and don't need much protection, and strengthen your value jamming range on the river?
