Hello.
I'm playing poker for a while and usually I only question this at downswings... and I'm in one of them (Sorry, a massive, the worst ever). My question it's about bankroll management and I need to be careful now because bankroll suffered a big damage.
I usual like 100-200 BI rule (top-average), even I think I play more like 150-300. But when I asked some players about session total/bankroll they say 4-5% is perfect. Well, but it's easy to find if we have 9k$, playing av bi 45$ and 18 tourneys a session we will be playing 9%.
What is your opinion? Do you like 100-200, 150-300? Do you change in downswings? Nr tourneys? Do you know your total % Br in a regular sessions?
And sundays? Because we play more tourneys in sundays and variance is more high.
Thanks in advance.

No nit for sure and he was CL taking advantage of bubble.

Yes, I think too... maybe this isn't a close spot, but what do you think in general about bubble strategy?

28 players, pays 27, we have one or two shorters at other tables. We have TT after CL opens. Of course I want your opinion: fold or all-in, but main topic it's how do you play 10bbs less stacks in the bubble of a turbo that pays only 27?

Slam dunk fold? Sorry, what that's mean? Quick fold? (or terrible)

Hello guys,
I made a 180s sessions yesterday and a friend mine strongly disagree with my folds in those spots. I want your opinion ICM and cEV wise... and what your decision because this is a turbo.
hand 1 - http://weaktight.com/7331916
hand 2 - http://www.icmpoker.com/icmizer/#AanU / http://weaktight.com/7331913
Sincerely, I played ICMwise here, but I found too nit icmpoker's result. Do I inputed something wrong there?

1st hand - http://weaktight.com/7331916
2nd hand - http://weaktight.com/7331913
Hello guys,
I played yesterday some 180m and my last tourney I did 4th and a friend mine strongly disagree with my folds here.
All players are regs and my question is about ICM vs cEV in a turbo last4 tourney.
1st hand - I don't know if this is cEV + or -, but it looks much better to me fold and ocassionaly some guy loose there.
2nd hand - Even being the big stacker, CO should have a good range like 25% and BT should be stronger (how strong you think?). With this stacks, I think CO should call like 80% or 90% because he will stay very comfortable even loosing and can call close EV0 spots. I already run some numbers at pokerstove and call looks close (a little EV- if CO calls too, ev+ if CO folds).
What are your thoughts? Too nit folding both?
Jan. 24, 2015 | 5:27 p.m.
Sorry, I miss that... ;)
I think pretty profitable all-in here if we are last12, prize jumps starts to be bigger top5/7.
Jan. 20, 2015 | 4:04 p.m.
I think I prefer just call pre, because we don't have antes. But that's ok.
I like check flop, bet turn... but prefer check call or fold river. I think valuebeting is so thin here.
Jan. 20, 2015 | 5:33 a.m.
FT?
cEV looks like easy shove, but interesting if we are ICM or bubble.
Jan. 20, 2015 | 5:22 a.m.
Why do you think is 3betting light? Do you have stats or anything?
About size, I think 19.21k is better but not sure. However, maybe I disagree with your read about 4bet call even the odds, because he can't call with everything in a very escalated spot with flop almost SPR 1.
Because if we call here light, what is his plan for the flop? Ax are many times dominated if you get your ace and KQ/QJ stuff the same. 4bet from CO in 6-max is a strong move... more probably for value than bluff, but with this stacks will be ended mostly pre-flop.
Any one of both has reads about the other? Like what is your image?
Jan. 20, 2015 | 5:19 a.m.
I think he has more 55/22 than KTs/KQo stuff. And I think we should cut half AA/QQ. But yeah, still 50-55%.
So do you think we should avoid when we have 5% EV+ (since we need something like 47% to be EV0)? Do ICM worths so much in this stacks situation?
Did you take in account the other 3 guys to play? Sincerely, I think we need to call same situation if we are the last guy to play, but with them I don't know.
Jan. 16, 2015 | 2:32 p.m.
Sincerely, this tourney is more low stakes than middle in field quality.
We are at FT (200 players tourney) and left 7. At this point, table have 10-30bbs stacks and utg just lost a big pot (very bad bluff with terrible sizes). This guy is very bad, but not to loose pre-flop.
After losing a big pot, shove 12bbs from utg. I'm in doubt but I know I will call this at CO.

My thoughts and questions:
At this point, I dont how much ICM I should take in consideration. We have stakes that easily we will find flips and coolers situations. Instead a cooler Ak vs QQ or AQ vs JJ, know will become more often situations with pairs vs AJ/KQ in late positions.
Having 30bbs-40bbs stacks will give you a big advantage to explore others in ICM situations.
UTG should be more tilted (or in a whatever situation, lets jam and over this) but I don't think he will jam so light to be in a very good situation. I think I have 50%+ (55% max... maybe some situations 60%) against his range. Do you agree?
We have 3 more guys to play;
So 50-55% equity vs his range (with 3 guys to talk) is enough to call or we should fold ICM wise?
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, i know that MTT sizes eheh
Pre-flop is ok, no?
Sincerely, I'm surprised now because I thought I bet like 40% and this is only 32. If it was 40%, do you thinks is ok (pot is giant already, no?)?
Another question: what a kind of range do you think villain utg should call? I was surprised with the villain's hand: 44.

Hey guys.
1s) I'm probably a donk in cash (MTT player here) and overall I'm losing. I just play sometimes cash, for several reasons (fun, learning, change format, etc...). I use to play NL50 or 100. Why? Because It's perfectly ok in my BR management (like 100€ is max for MTT) and... yeah, Nl25 don't excite me. So probably it's like or I play NL100/50 or I don't play cash at all.
2nd) I played today like 300 hands on Stars.fr. I lost about 1.6 stack. No big pots instead this one:
http://weaktight.com/7226051
Aces on BB over utg and utg+1.
Did I play this badly? It was in beginning, so I don't have almost any info about villains.
3rd) Anyone plays on Stars.fr? Field in cash is softer than Stars.com, right?

10 guys + -
Maybe, but because it's a not mandatory participation, i think it's better. Maybe we can create sub-groups based on winnings or skill proof.
Nov. 29, 2014 | 6:01 p.m.
How many hand do you have from 20/11 (and 3bet%?)?
Villain is on SB/BB?
Vs a 20/11 I prefer a call 3bet, I think. If was BT or CO, probably all-in.

Hey guys,
The villain is a shark player and I think we can expect a loose range for 3-bet (but I don't know how loose). This is a good spot to bluff with 33 or it's a spew?
What are the range do you exprect for villain's 3bet and call all-in?
Thank you.

I was talking with other players and this doubt appears on a different scenario like if we have 87s. Probably, you would go all-in in this situation, right?
I'm trying just figure out what hands are borderline here? And even with junk hands if it's possible imagine go all-in here and expect the open-raiser isolates to be HU (and 2 bbs free from the caller).
I folded this hand. The idea is try to understand the strategy here with medium and bad hands.

What are your thougths?
It's just a fold, could be a weird "stop and go" or can we jam to try UTG isolates the caller?
Oct. 21, 2014 | 4:32 p.m.
I'm not a cash player, so I think this kind of hands interesting. What do you think about my line?
Pre-flop - Should I 4-bet?
Flop - call is cool or should raise to protect my hand?
Turn - Leading is a possibility?
River - I think it's standart, but let me know if you agree.
Thanks in advance. ;)

I don't see much difference, only you have to adapt to stack sizes on the table. Many 15 minutes skip some levels, so maybe will not be different.

Hey,
I play poker on part-time and I had some skype groups that was very usefuls with portuguese people. There's any group already working where can I join it? Or anyone wants to starts other?
The idea is to be a free group for middle stakes (like 10$-100$) without mandatory participation, but we can manage some reviews or something.
What do you think?
Cheers
Oct. 3, 2014 | 2:18 p.m.
Oh, ok. Understood stack size for jamming. Yeah, I don't think flat it's good too. I didn't make any calculation, but I'm think it's +ev squeeze AI. Just not sure if it's good at that moment of tournament.
I already saw it, but I think it didn't answer to this question. :p
PS: I want your personal opinion and EXPERIENCE. Like, usual I play 20 tourneys w this avg BI (which means x% of my BR)
