great video owen, a lot of usefull info on common spots. i really like the way you explain each spot. I have one question though. @42' top left, you explain enough why you are not convinced by his raise and you decide to stay in the hand, but it seems that we put too many chips in a pot that it is really difficult to improve our hand and is also difficult to go to showdown. I mean if you think he is bluffing dont you think that he is going to continue bluffing by shoving the turn? the thought process is correct as you said, but isnt it a bit spew to make a call that you will not be able to defend in later streets in such a shallow stack size?
anyway, thanx for the solid video. looking forward for part2.
good luck getting back at the tables, and of course best wishes for your sisters health

hello owen
at the Ac2c hand at 3:00, when you talk about betting the turn do you take into consideration tha because of the Q we split with all the bigger Ax that he is going to keep defending with?
would you bet if the turn was a 5,6 or maybe 9 ?

not sure about the line, but given the stack distribution and the icm of the FT i think there is no need to risk a big part of your stack in such a close spot. if you call and lose the pot your stack usability will change dramatically. i am not sure if it is the right spot to put your money in

i suppose a lot of Ax, fldrs, str8drs, PP are going to defend out cbet, but given the board texture arent we actually giving up by checking?
I guess check/call once and evaluate turn isnt that bad, but isnt it better to cbet and take the hand now?

i think when he opens utg and 4bet shoves 40bb the best situation for you is to coinflip against JJ. the 4bet shove there shows a lot of strength imo. i would prefer flat calling the preflop raise, hide my hand strenght and evaluate flop.

hello
when you say protect the AA on the turn at 1':20'' you mean you also have x/f or x/c a small barrel kai maybe fold the river ? Doesn't he have JT,KT,KJ in his flat calling range IP ?

at 21:10 facing 12bb utg open shove @BB w/AJo
is this really a snap call? if he is shoving 66+,ATs+,KQs,AJo+ we only have 36% against this range and i don't see him shoving too wide with his stats. is the fact that we have a really big stack allows us to call easier? would you also snap call it if we had 25bb?

hello there
on the 99 hand @ 23'
what would be your thoughts if the river was a total brick lets say 2d, and villain was shoving the rest of his stack ?

also, do you think we should have raised somewhere at the previous streets?

i am not really sure but i would go for 1/3 bet for thin value, i think we could get payed by a single J if we give the right odds. I agree with your reasoning about bluffcatching, i dont think someone would turn a hand with shd value into a bluff at this spot.

what do you think about this flop?
i was between cbet (maybe smaller than 1/2) or check/raising with the intention to shove any turn
it seems dangerous board for multiway situation, but i have second pair and an open ended strdr.
am I overestimating my equity here?
eventually the cbet was on the bigger side and the turn found me having almost 1 psb and thinking about check/folding.
(villain is FCB 70% over 200hands)

hello ryan
could you please explain a little bit more the reasons we cbet Ad5d (utg open vs BB _ close to 30' time) on a As2s9c dry flop against good opponents? we lean towards cbet because we have no bcdr equity? i was thinking we have a lot of air or bcdr semiblufs to balance our value cbet in this kind of board and small Ax could be checked back for pot control etc. it would be nice to hear some more thoughts for our checking range there..
thnx in advance
