This hand kept me awake which is why I'm posting this, I would love to know what might be the GTO solution to this turn spot.
Hero: 1346 euro
Villain: 1150 euro
3-6 euro blinds
I raise to 12, he makes it 51, I call with 8h8c.
Flop 2h 4s 4d (pot 102)
He bets 80, I call.
Turn 4c (pot 262)
He bets 350 (has 675 behind), I ...
His 3 bet is 22%.
I ended up making the 'wrong' decision (lost a big pot) which is why this hand weighed so hard on me and I was doubting if my move was good. I'm curious about GTO play here. Is this is a spot where I should call or fold my whole range? Or should I have a shoving range? Is this generally a spot where I should shove for protection? Or should I call with the eights..
I have no GTO computing software so I'm counting on some smarter minds in this community to help me out. Should this be a shove or call? I mean I think a fold is too weak and exploitable, right.
Thanks very much for the replies!

I think when you made the big fold with 88, I think if you called the TT hand would've folded right? SO to that respect if he the BTN only traps AA and further has TT or less and he might fold AK off suit.. I think the 88 is a call right?

I think you have quite a good style in video making. Lot of pro's don't capture my attention are talk in a very boring way, or with terrible accents or tones of voice. This happens a lot but with your video's are easy too watch. Most video's bore the crap out of me..

I would like to comment that I really think 98s on TJQ is really a shove on the river against these ' fishy' plays. Maybe lot of players want to see turn and river first before they ' get value' for their set there.
So without read i think i would still shove, also the 'not shove bet' on the river... I think most recs with ak are more likely to shove there..
Anyone agree that in general it's a shove?
Maybe Phil had different read on player at the time although he now still says it's a call.
Or maybe I'm just stupid.

There doesn't seem to be anything more annoying than you pronouncing "here" or " gutter". I just had to say that sorry if I'm discriminating or something.

Just think it's unwatchable on a lot of screens (like my macbook air), I have to concentrate too hard to see it (all). Trying to help ur business. I might be the only 1 elite with that low of an attention span, or maybe i just want to watch videos in a relaxed way since concentrating on my poker job is tough enough. so yeah. Think 100 dollars is overpriced in my mind, i have complaints about lots of pro's. I always enjoyed watching Galfonds video's he helped me learn PLO, thanks for that.
Good luck with any future edeavafkejkvnakkrae endauvors.
But seriously Galfond 100 dollars was too much for me in terms of EV and thanks for ur plo vids, you are the best teacher around here. More than 4 tables in too much for me personally and I can't watch this particular series on my macbook.
Hope this all helps you. Thanks

fullscreen doesn't work and i can't even see the stacks, i have to look close. this is annoying, i am annoying. glad im cancelling that subscription though. Lot of ur pro's suck donkeyballs. You would be the only reason but you 6 tabling. No.

Yeah im cancelling my subscription because of the whole 6 tabling thing. It annoyed me with lots of other video's. Probably the only 1 though so what do you care Phil. I dont even know why im typing this, it's just to share my annoyance, sorry about that.

Phil I am reaaaally annoyed with video's like this when there's more than 4 tables. I like to watch video's to learn but also just to relax or while eating you know. I don't wanna be as focused as I am at the tables, just chill down i have to focus too much. Also because i don't wanna miss anything. It's just annoying. 4 is moooore than enough, i think.

I've seen too many video's lately where a pro have been playing poorly (and also admits to). I really want them to play near perfect cause if I don't have the feeling the pro is way better than me and way more knowledgeable, I just don't see a reason to keep this 100$ subscription.
I'm talking in general now and I took this subscription to learn more about PLO but even if I feel I'm close to surpassing a lot of pro's here... Uhm I'm just saying for a 100$ subscription the pro's should be 'perfect'. I've been a pro for 5 years and I've gotten much better at PLO because of Phil and stuff, but if I'm through of all of his vids.. I watched some tourney vids and other pro's stuff, I just feel they are not better than me at all and other than Phil's PLO vids the 100$ wouldn't be worth it for me anymore when I'm through all of Phil's PLO vids.
I'm just not too happy with some of the other pro's play. I have more times where I think I'm doing things better than the pro than times that I feel the pro is doing something better than me. Also 100$ dollars is slightly too much, if it was like $59.99 I might keep the subscription anyway.

You're voice makes it hard to watch, I couldn't watch any Ike Haxton vids either for instance. I'm sorry but I think watchability of the video's of a certain pro in terms of voice and stuff is also pretty important. I so rather listen to a voice like Galfonds. I don't know if Ola can help it but argh I'm honest it's not a fun watch just because of how he talks. And I'm such an asshole for saying but I'm so annoyed by this even though I'm going to go ahead and watch it through.
I feel with the set of 88 hand in which Cobus minreraised the flop, I would have openshoved on the turn. Since you didn't I'm questioning my game, what would be the reason you didn't? Too polarized and with his stronger hands he would've shoved anyway? Cause maybe would think he could have a lot of nutflushdraws that he would check back on the turn, and our hand would be to vurnerable yet superstrong to allow a freecard on the turn.
