it might be weak and im not a solver guy, but for me 54s is a steal from CO and if i get a resteal i fold and move on to the next hand xD

yeah fold pre sounds good. will stick to 3bet/fold SB again. have had good experience with it in the past and saves some rake too <3

John Doe yeah i sure have the same leak :) i filtered "call river bet" in HM and was shocked xD since i went to tank-mode before river calls (especially -but not only- when V leads OOP) my winrate got a good boost :)

RaoulFlush thanks a lot for you opinion! yeah probably call turn (even tho passive fish wakes up aggro) sounds reasonable. if he pots river again its a fold tho right? greetings

How about x/c river? Just an idea
Sept. 26, 2020 | 5:43 p.m.
Just take the other range and tighten it a bit...??
Sept. 26, 2020 | 4:33 p.m.
If you by nature feel better playing a 3bet/fold strategy in the SB just do so. I too only play 3bet/fold in SB. Good for rake too 😉

Like the solver of Darren says a non diamond hand would be better for us because it makes flusdraws more propable vs his value range

How do you guys perform in Call to River bet spots? show some number in bb/100. Does it need to be positiv?
Sept. 25, 2020 | 12:33 p.m.
i also think since were on NL5 and turn lead is already scetchy "this river should be underbluffed!"
i mean ofc if we find V to bluff missed FDs here it might be a call, but again the turn lead doesnt make much sense for FDs right?
Sept. 19, 2020 | 11:03 a.m.
so lets say we blockbet for 25% pot. you would still call a shove right?
Sept. 14, 2020 | 10:53 a.m.
Your right, turn raise would be pretty ugly, so i kinda like the idea of x/c on turn :)

What about x/c river up to potsize then?
May 20, 2019 | 12:11 p.m.
Just by following your advice my redline flatted right away. Im sure there's much more to tweak but my winrate instantly improved.
Try an experiment where IP you cbet less but follow through on many more turns. You will see how often they check/call flop and check/fold turn. Play 10,000 hands and see how it works for you.
So thanks a lot guys!

Ty this makes sense. in this case he showed 8c7c. Just a bad board runout then :)

Ty! These are good points to adress and work on,
May 12, 2019 | 2:36 p.m.
stop spending time typing endlessly about beats/variance, and put more study/volume in - I might actually be ok here.
Do it and ill do the same ;) What actually helps me, if im in a (perceived) downswing ill switch from doing 60% play / 40% studying to the opposite.

Would also fold J9s preflop. Even against 11% 3 Bet OOP overall your way behind. Also be aware that his OOP 3 Bet most likely is probably made up of mostly 3 bets against CO and BTN.
It might be on the weaker side but i also have no problem folden pre. SB 3bets OOP vs UTG. if i havent a good read i feel i will be dominated a lot, even worse if i only hit TP like in this case.
May 12, 2019 | 12:11 a.m.
i agree in most spots... i also at least consider folding preflop since a squeeze vs utg and caller seems pretty strong. 3barreling of SB is consistent with TT+, AQ, ATs, A8s... i dont think we need much of a bluffing range for river in a 3bet pot against this line.

if i ran a poker site i would be on my boat on the bahamas. why would any major site run the risk of getting cought by rigging ANYTHING? while they can just collect free money via rake?
May 11, 2019 | 11:42 p.m.
Btw. i tried some of the tips in this post and my Redline is already flatting down a bit. i will post a new graph when i have about 10k+ hands with better BB defends, cbetting selectively OOP on flop ect...
May 11, 2019 | 11:29 p.m.
Btw, I think optimal redline under most circunstances will be losing no matter what you do
yes i think so to, im just aiming for a rather break-evenish redline, because especially in 6max its possible i guess.
Agree! Hard to find bluffs but good price to pay sometimes. Sizing looks like he wants call from your range specifically, but still how to fold your equity :(
