15:42 right table
i think we miss a valuebet/fold on this river? K high flush is pretty high up in our range after checking flop. we block 66/456/567. villain has tons of weak hands to defend.

10:52 by my PPT math we run into (TJ, 67, 88, 99, 55) roughly 40% of the time, Ass an extra 20% of the time, and our blockers arent super relevant here. Is still a clear shove when we are nearly dead so often?

Same JT7cch hand that Zach commented on:
Once we elect to x/c turn, shouldn't we be going for value on this river since it is also a good one for our bluffs? I would think this river is better for our bluffs than a club since our nut flush blocker is not as effective at this stack depth (per Zach's comment).

I dont mind the preflop open in a soft live game.
Its okay to flat flop and play cautiously in position. You are basically flipping against anything that continues vs your range except QQ which has you crushed.
Imo there is a mental aspect to this as well, being card dead all night and finally seeing mid set. It sucks but you are not entitled to a hot double up before going home. I know this feeling well haha

The problem with this strategy is when they just call your 3bet, which is the scenario that will happen the vast majority of the time especially vs a BTN open.
Now you are playing a bloated pot with an easily dominated hand, out of position with relatively deep stacks.
I like 3betting a hand like this BTN vs MP, but out of position it is much trickier. Not saying it's always bad, just saying the 4bet scenario is not the part of the tree we need to focus on.

Awesome video, thank you Phil!
30:05 top middle where we have 8873hh on J72hh9, can we lead big for value on this turn with made straights and mix hands like this in as a bluff? i feel like there is value we can get from sets and bigger flush draws, and deny equity to a lot of hands... but might be thinking about it wrong

Great video... man these RIO members play good!! :)

Awesome video Phil, thanks so much for your thoughts. The discussion on exploiting people who bet too much and then dont fight back vs polarized ranges was really interesting.
I would urge other people commenting to refrain from negative criticism that is not constructive such as the two above. I think I speak for the vast majority of RIO subscribers that I really appreciate the content and would like the video makers to stay motivated and keep putting out great work. If you have a question about a hand there is a better way to express it IMO.

Oops, just realized he did not cbet flop. In that case turn and river play makes sense as you stated above.
Sorry to pester but why is the pre-flop 4bet not standard? I notice in your video where you break down teuness' 4bet range, you did include some Ax suited. I do 4bet Ax suited some % of the time as part of a polarized strategy, so would be really interested to hear why you don't like it.

Tyler, love your videos. Thanks so much for doing this.
In the last hand you mentioned that A2s was a surprising holding for V to have. Agree the river shove is spew, but I would think the rest of his line is okay? His entire value range got there on the turn and it put you to a tough decision... so I would think the 4bet/dbl barrel line is ok on this texture as long as he randomizes his preflop frequencies of 4betting Ax suited.
Interested in your thoughts on Villains line through the turn.

Thanks Zachary. Still watching but love your work.
Is there a case for 3betting pre for value in the first hand with AKQ2ss? You should have BTN steal range crushed and it sounds like neither is folding to you (or at least SB isnt), and I think our hand does well with a smaller SPR. Interested in your thoughts.

Flagged that comment. Hope you know we really appreciate your work Ben.

T blocker is less relevant because it is a club. His wrap+FDs are more likely to continue on turn than naked wrap/straight draw.
I think calling river is awful and we either need to pot as a bluff or fold. Fold should be fine

Great video, glad you are doing this. Regarding the hand where you use T-diamond blocker and run into a set of 7s. Isn't this play contrary to our "maximally exploit" strategy whereby the Bovada population calls way too much? I definitely understand your play but not sure if blocker bluffs work well against this player pool.
Hey Peter, i think the hand 6h6c hand on the 567sss flop was pretty interesting. V1 bet about 2/3 pot into 4.75. I think I would raise to $11 here--what do you think about that sizing?
