31:43 - How do you think Linus is balancing his river check-calls? I guess he has to call insanely light once it goes bet bet check. But well, Linus is no mere mortal like rest of us.
35 - Crazy hand. You really tried hard to explain the crazy stuff that these guys are doing. Appreciate it. I guess this hand breakdown can definitely be a video in itself. <3
Really enjoyed this video.

Thanks for the quick and detailed reply Ryan. Really appreciate. <3
31min hand - You pretty much answered question. I would like to know about your turn calling range? Further, which hands would you call down on non-club river?
Last hand - part 2 --
When bluff frequency in villain's range is extremely low - our adjustment should be to massively overfold.
In other words, we continue wider range of hands vs balanced range than vs value heavy range.
Hence, IMO - vs straightforward value heavy range - this would be a terrible call.
However, vs someone who would have a balanced range turn range - we can jam turn or even call.
Would love to understand what am i missing?
Part 3 - " I would be more inclined to just use the all in sizing for a bluff/value" --
The line call XR turn + lead river is definitely unbalanced.
So follow up questions -
a) Let's talk "turn" range again -- how would you play sets? QT/Q3?
Combo draws like - AJhh? AKhh? KJhh?
b) Depending on above, we reach river with extremely few value/bluff combos. It's a pretty wierd line. Can you elaborate what comobs go into a river lead range / check-call range?
Sorry for probing so much here - I'm trying to wrap my head around ranges so that i can use such innovative plays in my otherwise straightforward boring lines.
PS: I really need to work on making my comments consise. :D

Liked your review - simple and clear.
31min -
1. KQo would play better as call at 35bb stack depth. Weaker hands like KJo/KTo/ATo are way better 3bets
2. Once we 3bet - KQo would pretty high up in our range - as we wouldn't be folding anything preflop (hence reach flop with far too many bluffs) and very minimal folding on the flop. Maybe it's a good fold, not sure. Would you continue with KQo with a club?
Also, is it better to continue with KQ than say A5s? Would appreciate if you can share thoughts around your turn calling range.
Last hand - Crazy!
1. Do you think in a sunday million type field, expecting them to fold sets/2p on the river is a good idea? Maybe I play too nitty at times when i almost certainly know that villain has a value hand.
2. In the video you say that it's a clear fold vs a balanced range. But, we call here vs a range that is highly unbalanced towards value only - that too being oop.
3. Would you jam when you hit flush or go for a smaller bet say 40-60% pot to get crying calls from sets and 2ps?

Still in? Tempted to buy just for the giveaway - i guess 1-1 coaching is for an hour at least, right? If yes, will buy - sick value. :)

Wow! I wish someday i grow a pair to play like this. :)

Why bet small? We bet into 5 people, are we ever bluffing?
Our hand is nut heavy -- and i would overbet everything -- both with value hands and the 3-5 bluff combos that we arrive river with.

At this stack depth, probably flatting is better than 3betting, esp for someone capable of 4betting.
As played, folding looks ok.

This is a close spot.
I'd make decision based on the players to my left.
If guys to my left are aggresive and do not fold BB -- meaning it'll be hard for me to steal chips -- I'll call this +cev spot.
However, if guys to my left are pushovers, i'll fold here -- and take lower variance route.

Call and play cautiously postflop.
Call down late position shove. Fold if UTG rejams to a shove.
Sept. 5, 2017 | 4:54 a.m.
I would push QQ+, AK and fold everything else including JJ and AQ.
Reason:
a. I don't think the 3b to UTG open is light;
b. 30 from the money will generally make medium stakes play tighter than usual; and
c. I like cashing and feel will get much better spots than this.
Looking forward to knowing the showdown, if that happened.

AJo has very high reverse implied odds, I'm most likely folding OOP. Calling w AJs.
Agree w Chris about 4b.
June 26, 2017 | 6:51 a.m.
- If re-entry -- definitely stacking off w pair or good draw.
- Maybe. If the opponent is a massive station and can't fold overpairs or draws - I'll take this line. Against most good players, will pot control.
- No.
- I'm playing for stacks in general if board bricks out as it's 100BB turbo -- and we'll get short very soon unless we chip up significantly.

Easy fold, at best flip. In general, drawing dead.
Plus being in SB, gives a lot of advantage as the blinds have already passed him. So, can se at least 8 more hands before worrying about blinds.

Hi Ben,
You had a solid read that Doug may be over-bluffing this spot. Great analysis, loved it.
The issue I'm having a hard time to understand that this is a TOURNAMENT, not a cash game. For Doug to pull off this move and you to call it of for $25000 is crazy!
Assuming Doug bluffs here say 60% time and has you dead 40%. Do you think we should always take this edge or preserve our highly playable stack and slowly chip away taking lower variance.
Also, what do you think of Doug's play? Is giving up on our bluff an option as Doug?
Cheers,
G

Hi Daniel,
I am somebody who would almost always check back K and Q high for showdown value.
And bluff with less than T high at a mixed frequency.
The question is - how do you balance your range of betting and checking?
My bets would be - Ax or any pair for value, T high and gutshots as bluffs
My check would be - Kx, Qx, Jx and maybe weak 2s
What am I missing? From the analysis, it looks like we should not have a check range here and bet small at a frequency of nearly 100%. Is that correct?
Cheers,
G

Shifting toward a practical exploit strategy in these spots requires much less precision, bc you no longer bother with mixed river strategies
Interesting. This is especially true when playing unknown fields on zoom tables.
I usually play 200BB+ deep mid/high HU games in India, usually against same set of opponents. Hence, my default play is to balance.
However, very well made point though. Agree completely to simplifying and exploiting tendencies.
June 4, 2017 | 6:59 a.m.
Hi Nick, never thought of it this way.
If our opponent is exploitable - life becomes easier - and we'll try to exploit.
Since there isn't any info on the guy, lets assume we are trying to be well balanced. In this case, what do you think about the bet sizing strat I outlined in the previous comment?
June 1, 2017 | 10:26 a.m.
Interesting spot.
1. Standard sizing w AA, KQ-K2, AQ, Q9-Q2
2. Overbet 1.5-2x value w QQ, KK, 99, JT and 5x
2. Overbet 1.5-2x bluff/merge - now that's tricky - QJ, QT, A2(maybe).
Thoughts?
May 30, 2017 | 4:04 p.m.
Call - AA-JJ, AK and AQs
Fold - TT-88, AQo, AJ, KQ and suited connectors
For >150BB 4b - I'll remove AQs and JJ from calling range
For >200BB 4b - I'll remove QQ and AK from calling range
Obv ranges change depending on villan type and physical reads in live game.
Also, I'm assuming we are aggressively 3betting from BN.
Cheers!

My 1st day at RIO, from India. Super excited. :)
Played this approx $1500 pot in a 320BB effective HU hand. Would like to know your thoughts.

Sure. +91-9035002017. I usually play HU and MTTs. What do you guys think of HU only whatsapp group?
Mindset Q - How to tackle boredom when you're playing 1-2 tables online OR live instead of usual 10-12?
I usually watch netflix on the side - but that is a leak 100%. Thoughts on how to plug this?
