Good video I enjoyed watching your thought process for live poker

4:34 table 2 Is that really std to fold KKT8r on HJ ?

Oct. 11, 2015 | 11:04 p.m.

26:04 with KJT4cc you decide to xc turn xf river I see the point in xc the turn to protect our range but then if we xc most of our K and check fold on the river we happen to be very exploitable folding almost all of our range on the river. Do you have some thought on that spot ?

Sept. 25, 2015 | 5:10 p.m.

The new website layout is good but the video is displayed too high and when you do other things you comeback to the vid and you always finish by missclicking on a link from the upper menu..... and you have to restart the vid again its so frustrating (esp after a tilting session) do something about that please...

Hey nice one, find its really hard to evaluate this kind of ratio (value combo / missread in the case of Jimmy) while playing live... So many new info to add and weight in our decision making progress its a difficult task for the mid/high online grinder than Iam :) I always wondered for a mid/high online grinder if it value worth to play deep live game and learn all pro skills needed or a waste of time. Whay is your thought on that ?

Yeah def + 1 for a SCOOOOP series ;)

Hey nice vid, 40:49 you decided to go for the check when you 3b oop on K65hh. I would have think with the fd + the K its hiting fairly often your 3beting range it was a fairly std Cbet. Would you apply the same thought process on 2tone A56 ;A45; K34 ; K78 ?

Hey Phil, leading to an other subject don't you think making video here at RIO against your regular opponent help then and make their life easier at studying your game. I recently listened the last JoeIngram1 podcast with WCGrider who explained how his RIO abo helped him wining 8k at hu plo having a read on oddsen watching one of his vid.

Hi =)
Why do you limp/call in head's up?

Jan. 29, 2014 | 2:28 p.m.

1/ I don't like the idea of betting >700 and have to fold I think It could be fairly exploitable by a smart opponent

2/ We can check back low flush draw we don't want to bet call and other stuff we ended up fairly behind against a crai range

3/ I think the betting range we can have 2 betsize: Firtst one  betting to go broke 700> with AA + gut shot without fd / K6 K9 / KK without fd all the vulnerable hands to board changes (middle strenght hands okay to bet call) even top pair + gut shot

And Bet smaller with NF Blocker allowing us to fire flush card on the turn and hands like yours gutshot + nfd / 2P + fd /set + fd. Mostly like to bet smaller the nut flush draw with some backup

I don't like that much the crai without any flush draw or bkdoor flush draw. In vilain choose its an easy call even with 2p given your range is going to contain much more miss flush draw than the actual nuts 67** especially if you always fire turn and river when you miss

Sept. 8, 2013 | 10:30 a.m.

Hey Phil,

Great vid as usual!

39:23 With Q459sss hand where you decided to call the crai I was wondering what would be your approach of this spot 100bb deep would you still call the crai with less playability on future street? On the river as played with the 5  in your hand I would have tought it was a mandatory bluff with a non winning showdown hand + 1 blocker. Can you explain why you chose not to bluff this spot ?

Thanks

Sept. 5, 2013 | 8:44 p.m.

I would rather crai flop or crai turn

July 16, 2013 | 5:35 p.m.

Imo the check call is good since you are going to have enought flush draw to x/c I think he should slow down on a flush card,  when the str8 card hit he is going to barrel it a good % of the time

June 28, 2013 | 1:34 p.m.

Nice vid as usual! 16:26 where you defended bb and decided to CRAI T955cc on J32cc Im wondering how can you have a balance CRAI range in that spot since the board is so dry. And  If you start CRAI stuff like J3/J2 its going to be hard playing on a lot of turn against tough opp no? And if JJ and some of your Jxxxcc is your only crai value range its going to be fairly unbalanced no?

Comment | goldy14 commented on XR or BC this turn?

I prefer a Bet here to make the pot bigger with this nutty hand and avoid getting a check back from a pair + lower flush  or gut shot  + flush

Here's a hand i played, OR is a loose fish, sb is an ok reg who i think try to get hu against the spot

I think i played the hand well, 2 of my friend say to me is horribly spewy, one say it's interesting to consider doing this, one say i should flat (i don't agree at all, i think it's the worse option 100 deep)

June 5, 2013 | 10:25 a.m.

Hey guys,

Im wondering what should be a good "River call efficiency" for midstakes plo 100/200 ? I currently have 1.2 over a 100k sample and I don't if its enough but I found it fairly low a friend told me a correct one should be more about 1.5-1.6. Since its directly linked to my river call frequency (I have 42% river call vs cbet) Im wondering if Im too cally river. What do you think of this stat and what is yours?

Regards

Adrien

Don't think the Check back is std here def don't bad to have some weakish hands with no out in your cbeting range like this weak fd + its an easy bet fold if Vilain CRAI. On the turn I dt mind checking back to protect my range and take a free bet when vilain turn one pair into a bluff

don't like the flop bet size I think a smaller size accomplish the same here, on the turn I would probably bet a bigger since he can be drawing more with this card. On the river when he shoves I think Vilain has not that many str8 in his range and most of his 2p should have shov the turn. I think its vilain dependent on the river but def close

March 8, 2013 | 10:15 p.m.

Hey Leo, Solid Vid really Enjoyed it! One question on 13:41 you 3b KK48dd and Cbet half pot on J94dd lets say you had AAxxdd on this board would you still Cbet half here? I really want to understant if the KK blocking the QTxx combo is somewhat more relevant in your decision than inducing a spaz of the short stack with a low cbet?

Feb. 21, 2013 | 9:09 p.m.

I think you have to consider if vilain is river bluff happy. Some aggro Vilain like to bluff flop and turn with some equity but they will never bluff river that much especially deep oop. Without knowing vilain river tendency I think its a clear fold on the river

Feb. 14, 2013 | 2:24 a.m.

I think its vilain depend on what is his pfr stats from utg but the small Cbet is std here since the board is fairly dry. Don't like that much the raise since people behind can easily have KKxx here + utg if tight kkxx is going to be a significant part of his range
