Garrett Adelstein

Garrett has been a fixture in the high stakes poker scene since 2005, initially focusing on shorthanded no-limit holdem online cash games before soon transitioning into heads up play. Since Black Friday, he now focuses his time playing in the biggest live games in the Los Angeles area where he resides. Initially weary of the day-to-day grind of live poker, Garrett now thrives in the arena, taking full advantage of the added variables associated with live poker. Working overnight, he is able to play a solid mix of heads-up, shorthanded, and full ring games.

Although most of his work for RIO will focus on crushing live NLHE, much of the content in his videos will be theoretical in nature, allowing online players to still take away plenty from his discussions. And while his recordings will discuss NL hands exclusively, his thoughts on various aspects of live poker strategy will have value for non no-limit live players as well. He has been producing poker training videos and coaching students since 2007.

Garrett was valedictorian of his high school and graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors from the University of Arizona in May 2008 with a dual degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. He also is one of the castaways on the current season of the reality television show Survivor.
