it's not 'correct' .. but on the other hand you should protect your blinds. My point is that you will lose your small blind on average if you don't make a play, and if you do make a +ev play you can protect yourself from losing your small blind and even make profit in a SB (that's a -ev spot on average, so why wouldn't I try to take my +ev spots so I lose less in my SB on average)
you could also say that if I make a p lay that the small blind (not the ante) is still mine. Because eg if I want to 3x I only pay 2.5x because the SB is still mine. I was considering a small 3bet, the ugly thing is that villain is a sticky player. I think I won't let him fold enough preflop and on the flop to make it profitable ...
it's an interesting spot. I'm still nog sure there is any good way to play T9s here .. maybe a fold is just fine .. maybe I should jam (but it would be ugly if he's the kind of player that can't fold Ax).
(Btw 3bet jam is mathematically correct, I also use HRC :P )
Cheers ! And again thanks for the response

Thanks for your comment ninja. But I have a small remark/question. Folding T9s is -0.5 because you will lose a smallblind everytime (even a little more because of the ante so it's -0.6). Even 3bet jamming gives me a result of +0.5- +0.8 wich I guess is a difference of +1 - +1.3.
The downside is dat jamming is pretty ugly I guess 25 bb deep .. so I don't know .. I do agree that it's probably marginal +ev at best to flat here because of the OOP and the lack of implied odds .. But folding just makes me sad in this spot ..
So that's the stuff that confuses me. At 20bb I would jam happy against this villain because I think he will never ever call correctly (read: to tight) and because it's already +ev against a correct calling reg .. but now .. 25bb is a more 'marginal' push .. so that's why I'm searching other options. Maybe I'm willing to take to small edges in small tourneys ? I don't know .. it's ugly for variance reasons but not for $$$-reasons.
So these are my thoughts.. If anyone has a remark or sees a flaw in my thinking, just let me know I'm always willing to listen. (Even if you guys also think it's a fold I'm willing to reconsider)

Yeah I'm not sure about the flat or the 3bet .. still don't know. I also don't' mind flatting but I may also miss tons of value .. not sure

I don't mind hitting midpair, can also do a lot of checkraising on wet boards so that's the game plan. May even 3bet preflop.. Don't like to fold here with such a strong postflop hand.

Hi John, I totally agree on the postflop play. I kinda panic on the turn because I realised raising the flop was better. So I really hate how I played my hand post and I would play it exactly as you say. I also agree about the preflop action, calling AK isn't my standard at al !
I think taking a small ball approach if your villain might be stronger is pbb fine .. but on average this should be a 3bet pre .. So totally agree with your post !
Thanks for your respons
