Effective stack are 260€.
Villain with 25% CO RFI opens for 3x in the CO, folds to me in the big blind, i make it 20€ with AdQdJsJc and he calls. Villain is on the tighter side of TAG, fold to 3bet is 30%, bet vs. missed cbet on flop is 56%, turn cbet is 50%. Overall pretty good and competent opponent.
Flop (pot=42€):
KcTd7c, so a wrap+bdfd for me. I check, he bets 28€, I call.
Turn (pot=98€):
KcTd7c5d, fd opens up for me. I check, he bets 80€, I call.
River (pot=258€):
KcTd7c5d2s, blanks, all I've got is pair of jacks. I check, he shoves the rest (125€) and I fold.
Comments on all streets please. On the flop I did not want to cbet since I don't think I could profitable call a shove, also felt it would be good to have some combos covering the straight-cards in our x-call range. Not sure though if this is a hand we want to have in there.
Turn, I ruled out donking and check/raising because the turn hits his range more than ours and he would only get it in with hand that have better equity than us. Also not sure if this is good enough reason, advantages of donking is that he could be folding some of the kings that bet the flop.
River, I had a plan of donkshoving any club, diamond, straight card, but decided to check this blank. Also felt a bit inclined to call it off but since we block many combodraw-combos that could 3barrel I decided to fold.
After making a few sim I think I was wrong about thinking of bet/folding instead of bet/calling.
Against a range of 25%!AA:(KK,TT,77,KT,K7,KQJ,KJ89,K986,T798,QJT7,Ac:cc,K:cc,QJ:cc,89:cc,T7:cc,TAQ:cc,AJT:cc) we have 41,1% and we would get like 39% from the pot.
Not sure if this changes anything.
