Thanks everyone for advice and suggestions! Am trying to take notes for what I'm wanting to know during game. For example vs regulars where I have several thousand hands on, I'm finding ft4bet useful, also 4bet vs hero, since I have pretty high 3bet% and they are adapting I think. So I do agree with you Disharmonist that a lot of NL10 players are either just trying it out or moving up quickly, I'm still finding some degree of metagame, and even a significant amount of 4bet/folds.

Thanks taaazz for sharing your hud. Is fold BVB only for situations where V is BB facing a raise from SB? Or also V is SB raiser facing BB 3bet? I find "fold to steal" is a stat that conveys a more general feeling about V in BB/SB vs late raise (CO/BN/SB). I like the fact that you have all positional first in stats. I only put ep-mp-bn but I'm finding myself using the popup for CO and SB stats.. Will consider if it's worth the space.

I had ft3bet but I ended up dividing it into ft3bet ip and oop. I find there is often such a huge difference between those stats (like 30/70), that some players I will never 3bet bluff when they are IP. I guess some players have integrated positional awareness to an extreme where they automatically fold when oop with marginal holding, regardless the 3bet% they are facing or other factors.

Also for the 3bet stat. I have 3bet and 4bet but I find that 3bet doesn't tell you much. A lot of players are 3betting something close to 10% in sb-bb and almost nothing everywhere else, so IMO an overall 5% 3bet isn't telling you much, I'm always using the popup. I think maybe I'll try a 3b vs steal stat, or 3bet bn/sb/bb if I have the space.

Post | doebrain posted in NLHE: What makes a good HUD for NL10

Hello,

I've been trying to put a decent HUD together. I watched a RIO video where the recommended HUD was

vpip/pfr/3b/4b/sqz
Fsteal/F3betIP/F3betOP/F4betIP/F4betOP
cbet/fold flop/bet+F to x-r/cbet in 3bet pot/fold flop in 3bet pot

I think it's got a lot of important stats but I find that most don't apply much to NL10, especially 3rd line which I think is more for higher stakes where players start switching it up more postflop

Can anybody share some insight or point me towards some info on weaknesses to exploit in NL10? I was thinking something along these lines... what do you think?

VPIP, PFR, 3bet, F3bet, 4bet, F4bet, WTSD
Cbet, Fold to Cbet, Fold to steal, (3bet vs steal?)
Raise first in from EP, MP, CO, BTN, SB

Thanks

I really can't believe the difference I'm experiencing between Zoom and standard tables. Zoom I'm in the red.. struggling for a tiny measly winrate and then blowing it all up in spots like QQ vs AA/KK. My graph for the past week is pretty horrible. Standard tables I only have 3k hands for now but my graph looks like this.

Could someone help me figure it out? Is it a coincidence on small sample size? Doesn't feel like one at the tables. What am I doing wrong on fast tables? For more info, I play 8 to 10 tables standard, 4 tables zoom. If anybody would like stats or what let me know.

I think most people agree that the regular tables are softer.

If they are this much softer, the advantages of zoom tables pales in comparison to the winrate difference.

Feels pretty shitty that I can't beat 10NLz and I wonder what I should work on for that, but I am wondering if it is really worth it. Please throw me some feedback.
Thanks

Yeah ok. Thanks for the feedback. I agree with bigger 4bet. And OTF I thought I should go big given how wet the board is.

I used to play MTTs and recently I started working towards beating NL10 ZOOM (6max). Today I wanted to try something different so I opened up about 8 to 10 tables of regular NL10 and I had some strange impressions.

My red line started climbing up (whereas it is slightly negative on ZOOM), and overall things seemed easier. Players seemed to take stabs more often with weaker hands, and refuse to fold their strong hands more so than on ZOOM.

Is this just a coincidence, or is this everybody's experience? Is the advantage of playing ZOOM simply to play more hands/hour + easier to fire up and get going? What do you play and why?

Thanks for all the advice. definitely prefer betting smaller OTF. x/c the turn, and x/f the river.

"these hands are so seldomly in his preflop calling range and betting
to fold out hands with 10% equity is pointless."

I think you underestimate what people will minraise/call a small 3bet with at NL10, especially IP. I see suited connectors played like this constantly. IMO when people min raise in MP/CO they are often rec players holding small pp's and suited/unsuited connectors. so I think it's definitely +EV to isolate / value with A8s. Also I'm not betting to "fold out" his hands, I'm betting because I think he will peel his draws

"Ofc we can, it is our decision which hands to play. You can even snap
fold KJoff against a raise in any position"

Why would you compare folding A8s in SB vs late minraise to folding KJo vs. a standard raise in any position.

"I suspect the real problem is that you play a loose agressive style ,
probably too loose, and put ppl on unlogical ranges because you would
have this range yourself."

This may very well be part of the problem. Don't really know what the cut-off is for LAG style. Here are my stats for past 2 days. Do you think I should tighten up? Open to any criticism, pretty new at this so there are probably tons of leaks to left to plug.

May 6, 2015 | 6:13 p.m.

great thanks. yeah I don't know why I folded, I didn't have any stats on either player, didn't want to cold4b/fold and didn't want to flat and play multi-way OOP.

May 6, 2015 | 5:28 p.m.

Can we really fold pre here? V minraises from the CO, seems weak. I think our hand is too strong to fold, isolating looks like best option to me.

OTT if we're going to double barrel I think we should make it 75% because if V called with 76-65-54-43 type hands or any Axss, we want to deny pot odds and make him pay to peel, and I do think he is calling with worse (Axss, some suited connectors).

Yes I expect to show profit. 3betting to resteal if CO is opening too wide, happy to take it down now with TT. Also for value, to build up pot, especially being deep, so that if I bink my set vs. V's top pair or something, I can extract much more from him than I would in a single-raised pot, where I could definitely not stack him. in 3bet pot
flop ($2). bet 1.50
turn ($5). bet around 4
river($13). shove. V has $11.5 left
I'm also hoping to cbet him off a decent amount of flops since a lot of players play fit or fold at these stakes.

April 29, 2015 | 9:24 a.m.

great advice thanks. nice read on V's sizing Disharmonist ^^
Kuduku I like your angle. seems too weak at first to fold flop, but projecting on later streets is something I should do more. I guess I would meet you halfway and peel one otf and fold to aggression ott. Also simplifies decisions a lot if your choosing simply to never call down vs. unknowns, which is appealing at these stakes I guess.

If I chose not to 3bet them pre it was because villain is too tight or folds to too many 3bets

if V has high fold to 3bet, shouldn't we be especially pummelling his open raises repeatedly until (if) he adjusts?

April 28, 2015 | 4:17 p.m.

Ok a fold is possible here, and probably safer / less high variance, but on the other hand I agree that since this is a very frequent situation (CO raise/BTN 3bet), I've seen players 4bet pretty wide in these spots, even at NL10. So I guess flatting.. and then fit or fold on flop ? what about on this particular flop ? bet/call with our gutshot BDFD ? Either way I'm not liking it at all. And folding preflop seems so weak.

Don't know if anybody will see this. Could someone please explain the 4bet/call line with AKs at 10:20 ? Why is it best to 4b/c here vs. 4bet jam ? If V holds TT-QQ and decides to flat for some reason, we are pretty unhappy on many flops (~60% ?). Much better to see 5 cards no ?

April 28, 2015 | 11:45 a.m.

Great thanks for feedback.

@ILoseFlips: great points. will try to give more credit to raises in 3bet pots.

@zhizntakaja: when you say something like

terrible sizing on all streets

I think it's interesting to give your own suggestions. Would you flat preflop vs. UTG? Flop bet is standard IMO, given V stats we're hoping to get called by a lot of nonsense (all pp's that haven't hit, maybe 98s-76s) and AK. You would suggest 1/2 pot? Turn is way too big I agree. But checkback is too weak I think, we can get thin value and we can also use protection for our hand.

This might be a fairly ignorant question. About A8ss BTN vs. UTG open on the big $55.
Is it because UTG made it 3x that we are not considering calling? Is flatting IP here such a bad idea vs unknown?
More generally, with that stack size (around 40bb) are you mostly playing 3bet or fold? You've mentioned situations where you would prefer flatting EP with big hands if many short stacks are likely to reshove behind, but in late position with medium strength hands like A5s, A8s-ATs, KJs+, 55-99, when and why are you flatting? What about vs a raise with 1 or more callers?
Thanks. Great videos!
