Yeah i was thinking of doing both but the thing is that the salary in Bulgaria is extremely low... and I can make those kind of money even by playing the micros..But I dont want to dissapoint the fam which is relying very much on me helping them.. probably would set aside poker for awhile

Hello RIO members ,I am Simeon Ivanov,24 years of age,Electrical engineer by degree who played poker semi-profesionally over the time of his studies, and as a lot of you i dont know which way to go now, I have a solid option of continuing a small family business in the field of engineering but not being enthusiastic about it at all or continue to play poker for a living ? I have concerns that sooner or later i would have to find a real job due to poker getting harder and harder... and I am worried about those missed years where i could improve in another field (taking the safer route) Can you give me some advice, guys? I am struggling with this desicion for over 6 months now .. and I`m getting nowhere any help would be appreciated :)

u dont make sense saying that u would call with your better Ts cuz he is really polarized to air or nuts, actually J10 is a much better candidate for a call as u are not blocking AQ at all and AQ is one of the most likely bluffing combos played like this. I think i would call most of the times against a big winning player in this spot but still interesting spot

what do u mean flat to induce him to bluff? KQo just doesnt flop good so often... if u think he is light just shove it pre , as played u cannot get away. I would have considered flatting pre but its close spot without any info on original raiser and flatter tendencies

Hey Senta, nice video, one question at 22:10 the KQ 3b/f what is the smallest stack u 3b/f to ? if he had for example 17bbs do u still use blockers ? It seems to me that we are getting close odds against his 4b range as he is so short especially against more active opponents? May be we could 3b smaller with our whole range to leave some more space for bluffs?

Great quality , Sam , just one question , the AK hand @24:40 what do you think for a river check, you narrowed his range pretty well , played like this he almost never has a value hand and checking the river might get him to blast off the last 1000 chips ?

Played like this pre i might consider folding turn but generally pre i will 3bet most of the time AJo and put AJs in my calling range

yeah i appreciate the correction.. i think what i meant was that if we are facing an open from a pretty unexperienced opponent he is playing his hand straightforward always.. and hes 4-betting range here is crushing us. By far this is not standart play with AQo in SB :) Cheers

I like checking back turn and calling most non club rivers , you protect your turn checking range a lot when u include hands like AJ OTT, the thing i will get into consideration when making the turn desicion would be what my image is . If you have been playing pretty aggro up to this hand i might consider shoving the turn and also who is the player in the CO ? Is he an aggro good reg or is he more of an abc player? Is he capable of turnirng a middle pair into a bluff? I like your arguments about discounting flush and sets combos a lot , when he calls your 3b OOP i dont see very much nutted hands getting to the turn . Tough spot for sure

The only thing i struggle in these spots is preflop.
Here are my thoughts: AQo doesnt flop great often and we are OOP i think i prefer 3b pre and consider a fold to the UTG if he 4bets, it makes our hand much easier to play u are 34bbs deep making it something like 150-160ish and folding to a 4-bet could not be that bad IMO and u put a lot of pressure if he is opening middle pairs and broadways with that sizing pre . Most players in the utg shoes will play straightforward this deep in big MTT so i think you are not spewing equity with AQ if u play it like suggested :)

you have so little ICM pressure being the 2nd shortstack i think we should take this into account considering our options.. you want to take this spots pre if u are going for the win otherwise u will get run over

depends on whats the structure of the tournament and how the other players approach this stage of play.. if i think i can get better spots in sb or btn i will go with straightforward range in this spot... any Ax ,any pair, any K10 might even consider just calling with hands with very good flop ability high suited connectors QJo J10o since we dont have much FE pre.. and donkshove when we flop some equity :)

I quite dislike flatting pre here with 15bbs and the massive chipleader to act behind ... we open ourselves to be getting squeezed .. actually i am almost never flatting here 3b small or push if u think he is r/f a lot . I know ICM is huge with 3 stacks being so close but i still think that KQ flat pre is awful

snap call given the odds... unless he is crazy tight and is shoving QQ+ only. You have 30% most of the time ul to run into aces :)

Do you always make that call with AJs? Cause i find those kind of spots a bit tough to call for 15bbs + with AJ pre or you had specific read on his shoving range?
