Hey, I'm a cashgame player looking to add some MTT's into my schedule.
I was looking into hyper SNG strategies to improve my shortstack play (12-20BB and 20-30BB) and was asking myself how applicable they are for MTT's.
I know ICM is a big factor in SNG's, so I guess ranges are a bit tighter than MTT's,are there any other differences between SNG's and MTT's?
For example, SNG players have a raise fold ranges with 12BB+ (also SB vs BB) , small 3bets with <20BB, are those also valid strategies in MTT's? If not, why?

I think Rob summed up Kanu's river logic quite well.
Regarding the flop call, I can't see that beeing profitable vs a very good HU player like Kanu, because he will make it very hard for you to continue on later streets and getting to showdown.
As played, I'd probably prefer a 3bet/fold to a call in this spot, you have some decent foldequity vs his air and gutshots and you can set up a nice donk betting dynamic.
