The kid said he/she is new to MTTs. So I think not overcomplicating advise is best. As I myself would not always flat pre or x/f but if you are new it is the best line while learning.

yes

I really agree with this [The hand just played itself].
Nov. 18, 2015 | 11:03 p.m.
I would say this is a standard flat here and x/f on most boards.
Nov. 18, 2015 | 11:01 p.m.
Yes but just stop.I know BB can have a 5 which is why I folded. a 5 is not folding this flop/turn either. Most of the time the turn is not a 3 my hand will be under repped.
So next time dont condescend to me because your a bigger fish than me.

LOL, Aaron. At this buy in level yes it is a mistake as I am balancing for no reason. But not the mistake you describe. I have seen some of your posts and you should really be taking your own advice. [ AA is the nuts pre but checking here is like saying please guys improve your hand and bust me i don't want the chips.] As this is just wrong. LOL. My actual hand protects me from a lot of this.

It would be nice to see a ton of pros get together and make a new site that follows the player first model. I worry for all the grinders that have no formal education or training and have relied on poker for so many years.
What are you going to do now Sam? Keep playing professionally or think about transitioning to something else?
Nov. 9, 2015 | 11:46 p.m.
I seriously think Phil and many others should get together and seriously consider if something like this is viable.
Nov. 9, 2015 | 11:42 p.m.
vs a super agro sb I would be jamming wider as it is very hard to defend a really wide opening range and it should stop sb from opening so wide on you. I dont mind flatting here. Just call flop no need to raise. As played fold to re raise on the flop. As I think at worst TPTK or 2 pair.
Nov. 9, 2015 | 10:53 p.m.
I think you can bet but x/c river seems good also to allow missed hearts and TP to bet.
Nov. 6, 2015 | 7:22 a.m.
Jamming protects your mid/low pairs, AJ, KQs. 3betting this spot w/ 20bb is never going to be balanced and caps your range a lot. It should be pure value @ 20bb. Flatting is a good option also but also caps your range. So I would say jamming is best followed by flatting.
Nov. 2, 2015 | 10:15 p.m.
1) maybe polarize OTR?
2) I would not jam this river especially when you are in position. OOP probably a sigh jam.
Oct. 24, 2015 | 7:22 a.m.
A lot of questions. I think raise then calling a jam is way better. No I would not shove AQ here and no I would likely not call 39bb w A5ss.
Oct. 23, 2015 | 10:57 p.m.
Yeah I did end up folding. No was going to x/c w Ad because with MP flatting I think there are a lot of mid pairs, AQ/AJ and suited BW + this can smash BB range also so I thought x/c was best. If I x/r my hand looks insanely strong.
Oct. 23, 2015 | 10:44 p.m.
1) no reason to shove pre or post
2) no why would you call here? I think checking this flop is a good option too.

99 is not a hand that I would squeeze with this deep. Just call see a flop. Yes click back is strange and looks extremely strong. Like flat KK/AA pre and then induced action from you.
Oct. 19, 2015 | 4:10 a.m.
learning I was not asking for justification. I was confused as it is my understanding that folding is neutral. So comparing the two seemed strange. Maybe I am wrong about that.
Oct. 18, 2015 | 11:35 p.m.
I think you answered your own question. Range looks right to me.
Oct. 18, 2015 | 12:27 a.m.
utg open and utg +1 call I am likely folding AJo (?) here.
Oct. 16, 2015 | 10:19 p.m.
practise, practise, practise. Look back at this post in 6 months and realise every 6 months that you sucked the 6 months before that. Thats what I do anyway. Also I would wait to play mid high stakes MTTs if I were you. Wait till you feel confident in your game.
Oct. 16, 2015 | 8:54 a.m.
I think a good reg will float or raise this board way to frequently ie any two overs w a spade, FD, gutshot w spade, straight draws, top/middle pairs. So if you bet flop you have to consider barrelling again OTT which will likely be for way too much of your stack. So I think check back is better.
Oct. 16, 2015 | 8:46 a.m.
why are we checking back turn?
Oct. 16, 2015 | 8:33 a.m.
Huh?
Oct. 16, 2015 | 8:30 a.m.
you want fold eq. which you dont have. I would just fold here.
Oct. 16, 2015 | 1:05 a.m.
I dont have exact numbers, maybe 25-60 I raise. 60+ i might sometimes raise sometimes call
Oct. 14, 2015 | 8:06 p.m.
cool spot. might have AA w As also?
Oct. 14, 2015 | 12:16 a.m.
I think jamming is fine at your stack depth.
Oct. 13, 2015 | 11:56 p.m.
yeah that is the weird thing about mtts. Your biggest mistake in a tourney could be the thing that wins it for you. lol.
IMO it depends on player. Tight rip as opening range will be so tight. Loose probably flat or 3bet smallish and good thinking I will mix it up between all 3.
