how do you study villain player pool tendencies in anonymous games in HM2? I know its possible, but have not been able to find any info on how to accomplish it in my searches here and twoplustwo.
thanks for any help

great vids, loving this series.. but how do we play turns + rivers? I cbet 3rd pot IP > they call the paired board > i check turn (prob too much) they bet river and i fold overcards. #feelsbadman

Hi Peter, great vid I really took to heart what you said about if people don't get this concept down they will never make it... I unfortunately am the guy u spoke of with the low 1.9 AF, WTSD 31 and WWSF 41... i have been conscious about trying to make these move by calling less and trying to find more value betting spots, but over the past 14000 hands no such luck; they have remained consistently terrible. Any situations in my database i should be studying to try to get a handle on whats going wrong? thanks in advance.

hi tyler big fan of your ignition vids, and working my way through them. in this vid (28:55), when the K hits the turn, does pio ever have the IP player checking back KK (the super nuts) or is this a 100% bet spot? My thought is that if he has two kings its very hard for you to have one and if he checks back the nuts it allows you to potentially catch up. and then he can jam over your bet on the river. Is that flawed logic?
thanks in advance :)

ahh makes sense bad flop call, now that you say it, of course I shouldn't call second pair multi way. I make this fold all the time, didn't even occur to me at the time.
i agree with everything else you said also, thanks so much

HI guys interested to get some feedback on this hand that I just lost a stack with...
playing 25nl zone on ignition, effective stack is us with 125BB
HJ opens to 3BB
folds to SB who calls
we are in the BB with 9s8h, we over call (FIRST QUESTION, WAS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE A FOLD? - my thought was i was getting great odds on the call and could stack someone on favorable boards, and that with the multi way pot they would be playing fairly straight forward)
Flop comes 9h3sTh with a pot of 9BB
we check
HJ bets 6BB
SB calls
we have second pair and call
Turn is 8d with 27BB in the middle
HJ bets 18BB
SB folds
We have two pair and call (SECOND QUESTION do we ever raise here? The board is semi wet with the flush draw but also QJ just got there for a straight)
River is 8c with 63BB in the middle
Final board is 9h3sTh8d8c
we have a full house and are fist pumping!
we figure this is a board that generally favors us so we don't want to lead and scare him away (GOOD OR BAD LOGIC?)
we check praying he bets
HJ bets 29BB into a pot of 63BB (sizing down from the previous two streets of roughly 2/3 pot bets.)
we shove all in for another 95BB
he snap calls
we had 98 for a final hand of 99888
and lose to 99 on a final board of 99988
when we shove we were hoping he has the straight or over pair or another 8, that he would get stubborn with. It this realistic? are we dead every time we get called? Does anyone fold this river?
Third nuts loses to the second nuts. I think this is a cooler to some extent but feel like that is little bit of a cop out. Should I have played the hand differently at any point? I see a case for folding preflop. any other thoughts? is this type of hand always a fold multi way?
I've am in the middle of a 23BI down swing and have been doing a lot of studying on here, but don't have any one to talk hands through with. I thought maybe this would be good way to get some perspective.
Thanks in advance,
-A break even 25nl player with big dreams
PS i couldn't figure out how to make the hand history thing work will work to figure this out
whats his 4bet stat?
As played, we need to call roughly a third of our stack, and if we call we'll have an SPR of less than 1..... if we have a backdoor nut flush draw call, and plan on lead jamming any A,K, or card that gives us a flush draw. if not, fold and move on.
as others have said, the only time u wanta 5bet jam this is if he has bluffs, at small stakes your gunna lose money 5bet jamming AKo more than not. check your database are you making money with this play? I was not over a 100K sample so i stopped. some people only 4bet AA + KK, not even QQ against that range its lookin pretty not good.
Also its worth noting he is 4betting from an earlier position, ranges will not be as wide as if it was BU vs BB which would be better if you were so inclined to jam, i still wouldn't personally.
