Yeah, I've strayed away from forums and similar stuff this past year and just dabble here and there from time to time. Have been going through the same issues as you with fear and anxiety which is holding me back from breaking into the stakes you are trying to break out of. I'm making progress though. This is great stuff. I can relate with the struggle you go through with diet and exercise and fatigue and also procrastination over the environment not being "perfect" enough to grind. I have been getting better at these things slowly.

I think my procrastination is rooted in fear of losing and I rationalize to myself that if bed is not made or house is not quiet or if I have a dirty dish in the sink then I will not be able to focus and play my best and I am more likely to lose and this stops me from trying to play altogether when the reality is I am just using these excuses to justify my fear of losing so I have something to blame the times that I do lose. Very long sentence lol but hopefully you get what I mean.

Lately I just say fuck it and realize the beauty of the game is in the unknown and not to worry about it so much and just make quality decisions for as long as possible and everything will fall into place. And the reality is that I can still do this no matter what. Even if the baby is crying in the next room over spilled milk this should not stop me from making the best decision in the moment.

This is great stuff Dan. I have been doing something similar but focusing only one spot. I think I will add this approach this month because it will allow me to look at a variety of spots and not get too overwhelmed since the time is brief but productive.

Yeah man I love football! I used to play as a kid and into high school and could've been a professional imo if I had better guidance on what it took to succeed. I was pretty arrogant though and wasn't willing to to put in the blood, sweat, and tears it takes to become elite. Eventually the sport passed me by but man was I a fucking beast in my prime. I used to record any match that would come on TV and re-watch them and mimic the best players and me and my cousins would play at any chance we could get. But my favorite team would be Colombia since I have a Colombian father and it was he and the rest of my families passion for football that got me to fall in love with the sport. I don't really have a favorite club team and will watch games just for the excitement of competition and for the atmosphere.

My favorite competitions to watch are the UEFA leagues and the Copa Libertadores. And I follow the SA WCQ obviously. Sadly, it looks like Colombia will miss out on Qatar. They have not scored a single goal in their last 7 WCQ and will need an absolute miracle in the last round to even have a chance at reaching the 5th place playoff spot. They do play Bolivia and Venezuela to close out the campaign so it's feasible that they score 10 goals in the last 2 games and one of the other teams ahead of them in points chokes and loses but after watching them play for the last 6 months I'm not holding my breath for that happen!

Congrats on the Rangers win! Very exciting match and that 2nd goal by Rangers was pretty special by the guy on the left flank to somehow get away from a crowd of defenders and get that cross in. I let out a fist pump when they scored that one.

Glad to see you back. Great post on the study partners. I'm still trying to find someone myself. I've had a couple good study sessions with some guys but it always seems like the 2nd session we can never agree to meet up at the same time and then I just give up trying to re-schedule. Regardless, many of your points hit home and are something to consider as I keep trying to find the elusive study partner lol. Tbf I'm not the greatest at sticking to a schedule myself and honestly favor grinding over study but I think if I had a set weekly time to meet up with someone to study I would definitely stick to it.

I did take your advice and have been drilling BBvBTN Flops as OOP starting from A now working on Q. A lot of interesting patterns emerge which is pretty cool because now I feel a lot more comfortable as the BB defender and less confused on how I should react to a cbet. Anways, glgl as always and I'll be rooting for Rangers to advance. When is the 2nd leg btw?

Tough break with your roommate. I've been in that same situation before. It's such a shame when a good friend becomes hypnotized by poon tang. This stuff is acceptable as kids in high school but when you are old enough to be considered a man and still act this way then it shows a lack of character imo. GL with that situation.

The topic of studying hits home with me atm. I've been trying to upgrade my studying to be more focused and specific. My problem is that I get so overwhelmed with where to start that I end up never starting at all. A good analogy would be getting excited to watch Netflix but then getting overwhelmed with all the choices that you end up browsing the menu for so long that you never pick anything and just turn it off. I could use a push in the right direction >wink wink< :)
