Also an Addendum- This is also very opponent specific. Tougher guys i prefer the 4b/fold- but those with whom i have a grasp on their post flop tendencies i develop a flatting range in this spot.

Ok so i am the friend in this question-
And it was never a "big leak" :P - merely a strategic option available.
The proposed scenario is BTN opens wide (for min raise). SB is defending by 3bs only and around 18-20%. Hero is in BB w QJs-KQs/ AQo/ AJs / 88 - JJ. What do we do with these hands?
As a default i understand decent balanced 4b strat is a good one. And my own default.
But it feels really horrible to 4b then fold AQo in this spot. (or 4b call w 88) - i guess i need to stop being lazy and do the CRev for these spots.
There is something to be said for when we 4b a hand like KQo / AJs/o and get jammed on by JJ/TT- Thats a lot of BBs we are folding for a flip.
Hypothetical scenario- How do you play your range vs yourself? i.e. you are both SB and BB and SB has 3b the button with his linear "wide range" and your now facing a decision in BB - knowing what you know about SBs tendencies to both postflop and vs 4bs.
The above range plays fairly well against this range.
(SB doesn't know what u know. to simplify the scenario - lol)
As an aside- what is the cutoff point if Button decided to jam- QQ/JJ looks gross.
Does this change the deeper you get (200+ bb?) or shallower you get (<50bb)..
excuse my rambling - sleep deprived.

thanks for that in-depth reply it was really helpful!!
Main thing would be to grind i guess.. i have a limited time frame and wanna max my time at the table!! - True degen.
Accommodation has been sorted by a friend - still waiting for those details to come through.
Now just the money problem- I havent done any trades with the 2+2 guys so im not sure how comfortable i am doing a large transaction off the bat.
I found a site - currencyfair- that seems pretty legit. Hopefully they will allow me to xfer to the casino cage.
If not-im stuck unless i can get a bank account.

From UK - semi- Pro. 28/m.
Coming up to LV from 4th june till 27th or so. My first time. #Excited (is that how u use #?! )
Going to play mainly cash- 5/10 + depending on how good games are.
Need advice from the vegas vets on where to play/stay. Do you get rooms comped for xfering large amounts over? I dont play table games- just poker.
Would love to meet up with some of the RIO guys too. Long time lurker/passive watcher.
Also best way to get cash over? Will the american banks let me open an account on a tourist visa? or can i wire straight to the casino i end up staying at?
If i bring a bunch of GBP and exchange at the cage/do i get ripped ? or do they do things like freeze ur exchange rate and let you buy back at same rates.
Hope some of you know about some of this! was a last minute spontaneous decision to book these flights!

i think structure you bets in earlier streets to get a bigger pot at this stage.
1.75-2.0 OTF. etc etc.
All those add up.

A situation im torn between and keep flipping between whats best..
You are playing an agro HU match. Your opp thinks you 4b too much and is 5b shipping reasonably light.
SO much so that hes doing it with most broadways that hes now 3bing. Kjo + QJ+.
You have 66-99 100bb deep. You are happy to get it AIpf.
Which is a better line?
4b/Raise big - make it clear there is no FE and prevent him from jamming Qhi/Khi- Obv in much worse shape when u do get it in- Difficult to balance appropriately.
4b/ Raise "standard" amount and call off?
discuss.
hehe ok np :)
