Nice vid ty.
@2520 I'm a bit confused by this river lead. Which better hands are we anticipating villain folds?

Didn't find this video particularly useful Tyler. I just think the pace was way too slow and no interesting spots came up. It's a shame as I find the majority of your videos very interesting and insightful.

@24.45 Is this river bet size not transparent? are we balancing by betting hands such as AxAc for a similar sizing and bluffcatching vs a jam with that holding?

Sweet!

Minute 32: Would it not be fine to simply flat AQs to the c4bet and then stack off on appropriate flops? You're getting an ok price to call and as you said, you block some of villain's value range blocking aa, ak and qq. If you call and see a flop you keep villain's bluffs in the pot and have more equity vs his range going postflop. Would this not be superior to jamming? It does seem a spot where both jamming and calling appear +EV just wondering which is better and why.
Great video as always, thank you Tyler!

21:20 Calling seems light assuming villain has all combos of KK,QQ,KQs,JTs and you block his bluffs with Ah. Would it not be better to fold AhAx and call AA with no heart and Ak with no heart blocker?

Welcome to RIO!
Nice first video. Enjoyed the pace, structure and commentary.
Hopefully next uploads will contain more useful spots as I think most elite subs would have found the spots in this video very straight forward.
Look forward to seeing more, cheers!

Nice video cheers!
I'm trying to transition from cash games so I could be completely off here.
@29.28 You said this is too light to call a SB reshove for 20bigs. With the bounty being worth around 1400 chips (I think) in ICM terms we only need 38-42% equity here to call? Assuming villain shoves at least their top 20% of a linear range should this not potentially be a call? I'm guessing it's close?

Really enjoyed this different style of video. Cheers!

Without reads snap call - I would need extremely solid reads to ever fold here (like villain never bluff shoves OTT, ever).
VIllain can show up with 78s, 98s, KQs, dd combos, and could overvalue a hand like KJs and just shove. Assuming villain GII pre with QQ+ most of the time he reps TT, 66, 56ss, JTss, JJ for value. You block his value combos pretty hard and don't block any diamonds. In a readless scenario you should have plenty of equity given how many potential semibluffs villain can show up with and given the strength of your blockers to nutted combos whilst also unblocking draws.

Also, is it important to be extremely good at math to get any benefit from PIO?
Not really IMO. I find it most useful to help your understanding surrounding what to do with parts of your range on certain board textures in certain positions. It will give you tons of information but it can be difficult to understand what it means.
The important thing to understand when using PIO is to see what it suggests in specific scenarios and try to use intuition to understand why it suggests betting x with a subsection of your range and z with other parts of your range. For example, it will often suggest large sizings in spots where you should be polarised and splitting your range and other board textures it suggests betting a small high frequency sizing to respresent a merged and wide range.
PIO gives you the information, but it doesn't necessarily tell you why it comes up with the results it does. Lots of improvement to my game is done with PIO nowdays but at first I found it rather daunting and not extremely useful as I didn't know how to utilise the information it was giving me. Personally I'd recommend getting FlopZilla first, Pokersnowie second and then PIOsolver last. You should prioritise RIO videos the most if studying from a beginner level though IMO. Piosolver has the most depth yet it is also the most complicated so i advocate getting it later on.
Again this is my experience with it but hope I helped.

I think check calling OTF or betting are fine. I don't mind check calling with the intention of check shoving turns we pick up equity on.
Given you bet the flop, I would nearly always bet this turn - You have plenty of value hands in your range that you wish to stack off with here and you have open ender with an overcard, plus you unblock flush draws. Ace high floats will fold OTT and despite many hands calling ott, a high % of his range will call OTT and fold OTR making this a profitable spot to set up a triple barrel - You can profitably bluffshove blank rivers imo as you don't block hearts (and block a combo of 89s despite that not being hugely important). Without reads I would take this line as you apply maximum pressure against a tx hand and villain has to fold his hearts otr and pair and flush draw such as txhh. Hands like 88 will call ott and fold to a river jam also.

I think barrelling the q9hh is a frequency bluff that is fine because despite having bad blockers and equity, you can actually get many better hands to fold as it is so far down in your range - Even though they shouldn't fold I assume many hands incorrectly fold ott or will have difficult calling otr - 99-88, a5s 65s a2s... Pokersnowie thought it was 100% bluff ott and 73% bluff shove otr.
