I'm just making my way through the From The Ground Up course and am new to studying poker, so forgive the elementary question.
Peter Clarke has QJ as an openeable hand in the CO, but not A8o-A2o. However, when I throw these hands in an equity calculator, A2o has QJ beat. So what's the reason for not opening that hand?
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. A couple clarifying questions:
2) Doesn't A80 block any A combo like AK, AQ, AJ etc?
3) Is that an implied odds benefit then? The idea being A8o may have higher equity but when QJ hits the straight you'll earn more?
4) Same as above - an implied odds consideration?
