Yeah, I'm young and single and have a college degree to fall back on... I have good-to-great results, but haven't really been able to build a bankroll because I spend winnings on trips and such. But I also work 40-50 hours per week at a non-profit, making no money, so I'd really like to give live poker a shot for 40-50 (or more) hours per week and see how it goes... hence my question. But quitting my job would mean I would HAVE to make the poker thing work, since I have rent/bills to pay. I guess I'm just wondering what makes you quit your day job for the poker lifestyle? Its a HUGE risk in my mind...
I don't ever envision making millions like the guys on TV, but I think I could grind out 50k-100k a year at the 3-200 & 5-500 games...

What makes your decision to play poker professionally? A huge score? Slowly building a bankroll? Or just saying "eff it" and giving it a shot with great results the few times you can play outside of a hectic work schedule? I'm currently making ~2k a month playing 3-200 spread playing only Friday and Saturday nights and am contemplating giving it a go full-time.
