Just watched both your videos very good stuff. We've been waiting for a good PLO elite coach for a while imo. Zoom is always good but you mentioned normal tables and maybe other sites which I think will be great with how you use notes to exploit. Thanks

If you use pokerjuice 10% 3b IP range instead of propokertools range we will have a better idea of how our KQxx ds hand does on the AKx cc flop (30 mins CO vs Btn). It gives a more realistic range.
As for future vids i would like a vid on playing 3b pots oop maybe even specifically CO vs Btn 3b pots.

I use PT4 it seems all the stats you use are in PT4 also but some have different names , check fold is fold to float etc . Besides a few small differences Is there any reason why you would recommend HM2 over PT4? I know HM2 has a 3b vs hero stat that is not on PT4 that i wish i could use. I have HM2 license but I stopped using it a few years ago as it froze too often.
Thanks Excellent content

Nice vid enjoyed it since i've little experience in mixed limit games and there's never much content on it,
ULDuffer ;)

Just found this gem been playing plo8 for years and the lack of content was always annoying. Cheers great content

He pretty much is just commentating on the action for the whole tournament, there is zero educational value, it's just all basic all in situations. It seems clear he doesnt give a F* and is just banging out videos to get the paycheck without revealing anything, disgraceful when we are paying $100/month

I agree somewhat i think its just tough to play 3 zoom and 1 heads up live and also comment on every spot so i also think less is more

Given our flop check should we at least consider calling the river check raise
since we are near the top of our range?
Sure we have some boats but not all the best boats and we are somewhat capped
or maybe you don't think he will x/r bluff with a high enough frequency?
Thanks

38 mins in you raise the 1 card straight on the river on 3TJAK , what do you think about just calling so you get to see his hand since he won't call the raise unless it's a chop?

Is there anywhere else to read this since link doesn't work?

Phil you mentioned about over betting the AKQ flop on the river with JT if it was No limit Omaha given ranges. Do you have much experience with NLO cash and is it something you would be interested in making a video in giving your opinion on key differences?
I've played a small amount of it and the one thing that I've struggled with is 3bing preflop since villains can just 4b jam AAxx for 100bb or more forcing me to fold my equity. For this reason I flat more IP with hands that play better Heads Up and hence goes multiway more often. Maybe I should just 3b/f these spots. Sorry if this seems a bit off topic. Thanks

I bought GTORB, I would like to know more about Piosolver, as I am thinking of getting Piosolver, but dont understand it that well. If anyone could give their thoughts on the draw backs of Piosolver, vs GTORB( apart from absence on flop library) it would be greatly appreciated :)

'80%!10%:(3,4,Q,A,56,52,9s-As)'
would anyone happen to have a link, that explains this syntax? or be able to explain it, if it is not too much trouble

9:45 88~ what are your thoughts on cr otr here? we will win vs the same amount of bluffs and we will presumably get folds from all of villains 1 pair valuebets that beat us. Do you think we could achieve this with a c/mr otr here?
Thanks for the great footage and hopefully for your response!
April 6, 2015 | 12:06 p.m.
Hey man thanks for the video really enjoyed it, I have a few questions but if you dont mind discussing :)
2mins q4o- You said you would like to have a cr range on this flop, what will this range look like? Do we have enough value combos to have a cr range here? won't our c/c range be really weak if we cr q4 44 22 here? How would you balance this?
31mins~ T8s- What are the best hands to help us defend our checking range otf? Or is it best to not have a cbet range at all here (assuming K10clubs is going to be stabbing a lot here)? Do you have a flop c/r range here?
37:30~ 69s Are we normally checking back 6x here or mixed strategy? I would normally cbet here to stop villain realising his equity with a lot of rags that have decent equity vs us... would like your thoughts on it.
Thanks again for the great content!

Yeah I used random.org has a little delay for me. Although I think it is more to do with my bad internet connection.

Great video Nick. Where did you DL your generator from? I have only been able to use ones via web pages, which have delay.

Good to see you have 'Drive' on your list. That book has helped my game more than any other book.
I am currently listing(audio book form) to 'Flow - the Psychology of Optimal Experience' by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, am about halfway threw. this is an excellent book, might end up topping what I have taken away from Drive.
'Mind Set' by Carol Dweck has helped me a lot as well. Although I think this is the type of book which some people will finds tremendously beneficial, and will get little benefit out of.
I see some talk of Nassib Taleb and 'Fooled by Randomness' in this tread. I haven't read/listened to this. But I am thinking now I should. Have listened to 'The Black Swan' which has helped my game, but nowhere near as much as the previous 3 books I mentioned. This is an excellent book, interesting and will give you much food for though about the world, and expend greatly on most peoples knowledge of variance.

I remember some sort of RIO Bet Sizing thread you mentioned in your video. Ive trying to go over vid again, cant find. do you have the link?
Feb. 18, 2015 | 10:09 a.m.
Great Video Steve :)
I think ideas for expanding on this series could include.1) How to account for removal effects in simple toy games. 2) Compering spots, and considering factors where we want to use GGOP relative to spots where we do not. 3) You mentioned at the end of the video spots where villain can hold some traps, in 3BPs. I think this would be a good idea but also giving villain the opportunity to raise, i.e maybe 150-200BBs deep in a 3BP, instead of the 100BBs where we play a game which usually involves getting AI post flop with putting 3 bets into the pot.

Thanks Zen, although im unsure where I am going wrong, it seams i need to input a hand to get it to run. I just input the syntax for monotone( in screen shot) but i try a bunch of other things, answer is all the same. am just trying to find the probability of certain flops. I cant show images as the i cant get the 'upload' function for screen shots to work.

Hello,
I Have CREV, Odds Oracle, Equity Labs. Is there a way using one of these programs to find the probability of a certain flop occurring?( or perhaps using a program i dont have) i.e if I want to know the chance of a Khi flop, or Qhi which is also 2 tone?
Jan. 28, 2015 | 10:09 a.m.
Arnaud Lafaurie how do i find the video suggestion thread?
Jan. 28, 2015 | 8:20 a.m.
I think there is a decent amount of GTO stuff here, more the variety of GTO topics which ive felt ROI has been a bit lite on(i feel all training site could have more) but we pay 100 a month here, although i do think this is the best training site, maybe im being a little greedy in what i expect :) I haven't watched card runners in the last year, Janda had some good content, I dont feel anyone here has been covering the same kind of content, but I think Steve is kind of catering to that market. On a side note, I know there is controversy surrounding Janda, if anyone had the thread links ect where people argue against his methods, I would greatly appreciate seeing them :)
I must confess I gave up on Hudson about 1.5 years ago. I felt he was quite bias in this analysis cant remember exactly what type of basis's i thought he had (backward looking maybe) i remember another remember addressing my same concerns, he really didnt seam to want to respond, so that was the last I watched of him. Maybe he has changed now( or maybe he never changed and its my illusion he is bais), or his theory vids dont contain the same bias, I will give him another chance on your recommendation, will also take a look at your you tube vids, they sound interesting.
I am following GT, I think he is an excellent poster. I think RIO really needs to get him on as a coach, I know they have made him an offer and hes been 'busy' i think they should try harder. Offer him more cash/the vids he wants with Ben. I would be willing to pay an extra $50 per month for 2 NL vids from him, in general he seams like a real asset to this site, just from his posts, sadly there isnt as many of them as there used to be. I probably have less income than 60-80% of elite members, although I am probably enthusiastic than the average elite member about him getting on board, there seams to be a lot of demand for him . I will take a look at some of the other posters you have mentioned thanks for the recommendation MajorCrimes :)

Great video Steve :)
Would like to see more theory videos like this. Your 'improving on 1-a' has been in the top 3 most beneficial video I have watched on a training site. It toke me a couple of weeks after watching it for the content to sink in. It is something I intend to go and watch over again. I think your presentation skills make learning quite easy for me. I feel RIO could use more theory vids like this and a few less play a session and talk vids. Although Tyler and Ben have made some good vids which focus on theory and application, which have helped me a lot. I feel RIO is little lite on 'Jandaesk' style content. Keep up the good work!
When can we expect the launch? Isn’t Summer over?
